wildroamer
Hey gang, Well, I've gone and done it. I ordered a new Makita LS1016L SCMS! It will be my first miter saw, and I'd like to outfit it with a decent blade. From what I understand, I should probably be looking for a 10" with 60-80 teeth. I also am aware that with a slider, a small positive tooth angle, or even negative angle, is preferred. I a few Diablo makes one for a SCMS, D1060S. I believe it has a 7 degree positive angle. Thoughts?
JimboS1ice
Diablo makes great circular saw blades, would probably get the 80 tooth then something lower for more rough cuts Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

wildroamer
Thanks guys. I ended up buying a aFreud LU74R010 10-inch 80-tooth. I read some positive reviews, but haven't tried it yet. The blade that came with the saw actually seems like a quality one, with 60 teeth.
John Glassey
That's a nice blade too. I have several Freud blades. Great carbide on them can be sharpened several times.

Fazzman
Freud and diablo are one and the same.
Hugh Jass
That's way too many teeth IMO unless you're building cabinet grade projects. I run 44T Diablo's in my 12", if tear out is a concern when running door casing or the like, I just put a piece of sacrificial material against the fence...flawless cuts for less than half the cost.
