mig
Looks like Ryobi also has a refreshed Trim Router coming out this year. It looks very similar to the Ridgid model, with the exception that it is not brushless. Price is going to be $69 https://www.ryobitools.com/power-tools/products/details/18v-one-palm-router
JimboS1ice
Yea a lot of times when you see a new ridgid tool you get a stripped down ryobi version, they did the same with the sanders last year but I'd shell out a little more cash for the orange option Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Logan
$69 is a pretty good price I've heard a lot of good things about the ridgid

Eric - TIA
Just got my hands on it and it seems very nice. Haven't used it much. Just ran it through some pine. Pretty impressed for a $70 tool.

That's why I noticed about ryobi tools there is little to no dampening with themSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Eric - TIA
It seemed fine, but again I just ran it quick just to try it. It's pretty cold outside so I was a wimp and didn't want to stand out there. Friday should be warm in the 30's, so i will give it a try with some oak and other wood. dwain
Mike and I both want a cordless trim router. We were considering trying the existing Ryobi one, but maybe should wait for this. Or perhaps the RIDGID will appear in Aus under the AEG brand.
comp56
"This palm router has micro-adjustment for precise depth control and cuts over 600 linear ft. per charge" that is quite a bold statement......that is like trimming 25 sheets of 4'x8' plywood on a charge?....wow
Eric - TIA
Do you guys have any cordless routers down there?
dwain
yeah I thought the same but how much are they cutting? Just laminate? A tiny bevel? Or a decent roundover? Just don't know.

Framer joe
The Ryobi one is great and last a long time on a 4.0...really doesn't feel awkward cause your gripping the middle...the ridgid one is a little better ...

I've been looking for one locally but non of the home depots near me have them in stock.
