Todd
I'm heavfully invested in 18v makita tools. I've read favorable reviews on Makita's track saw and was wondering, has anybody heard news of Makita coming out with a cordless version? Thanks
stductwork
Not heard anything of one. I'd imagine they'll be looking at a higher capacity battery release first and it might be something on the 18x2 line up.
PNWtooljunkie
Makita has made adapters that allow for a cordless track saw. The model # is Makita 196953-0: a guide rail adapter that fits the 6-1/2" 18v brushless circular saw. Slap a 40T blade on the saw, and you have a rudimentary cordless track saw. I'm sure they will make an adapter for the new XSR01 18v X2 cordless worm drive coming out soon. https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/196953-0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

kornomaniac
Makita is working on one. We're hoping for a release this year. 16gauge Brad nailer also in the works. Next year will bring the 9 inch grinder and SDS Max cordless
