Rtorres092382
This is great news! Are you aware of a potential release date? Does this mean that we should be seeing the 20v stapler soon as well?

There's also the new concrete gun.
Rtorres092382
Think we'll ever see a glue gun? S B&D has one and I figured it be quick to integrate to the 20V line.
Jronman
glue guns seem like more of a diy thing to me than a pro thing but I agree would be easy to convert the B&D to a DeWALT.

Bremon
I don't expect any of that soon aside from the track saw. For people who use glue guns every day, should they just replace a crappy one regularly, or hope for a higher quality solution while making use of a crappy one? Doesn't seem much less professional than a portable little fan; especially one with the low CFM of my M18.
Hugh Jass
Man I'm happy to grow the family but the appearance of that lower strut is questionable, lol. Fits nothing else design wise I can think of from Dewalt. One thing I'll give them props for is not blocking the battery test like they did on the 660. Look forward to the reviews. Bremon
Yep @Hugh Jass that connection looks like garbage but should be a nice light unit like the 660, and able to stand up, so the brace is necessary for the straight magazine I guess. Pretty sure a straight 16 is coming and will likely be similar.
overanalyze
I was hoping for the head unit to be a little more slim compared to the other nailers.
Framer joe
I'm glad new tools are coming and being fully invested in Dewalt , I'll get one or two but that 18g could have been much smaller only shooting brads, long time to wait for a simple new magazine and extended arm for straight nails......should have been much smaller
Framer joe
Checking out eu websites..their kits come in tstak boxes..v and vi ..I don't buy kits so I'm wondering ,if USA kits come in tstak boxes or toughboxes ?

I really hope they start selling tools that way here in NA. The FlexVolt track saw is a prime example as well.I really feel this nailer is going to let me down just like the 16ga did when comparing it to the XRP nailers. With that said, I still enjoy using the new 16ga, it's just not as powerful. This 18ga appears the same size as the 16ga. We will see when it's in our hands. I think they either come in bags or blow mold cases. Not for sure though. If anything I wouldn't mind blow mold boxes getting replaced by tstaks. Ideally I would want them to come in a tough box but that is the least likely scenario.
muddychip
The strut between the clip and the unit is begging for trouble. I don't think it will survive a roof fall.
Bremon
What is the most common use for a brad nailer on a roof?

Nevermind, what I said earlier. I should read b4 commenting.
FrosBros82
I have used the 16g quite a bit and I like it... also, their framer isn't too bad either. I am sure this will be an awesome gun to their lineup.
The.Handyman
I really want to see a picture of this 18ga nailer in a Tstak. That way I can decide if I want it that way. The 16ga fits in a Tstak, just barely. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

DaveJr.
I can't believe how big it is.... I would almost prefer to drag a hose around and have my small pneumatic brad then that chunky nailer.
Bremon
Anyone expecting it to be tiny hasn't been paying attention. It uses the same flywheel mechanism as the 16g and framer. I'll be the lab rat if you guys are hesitant haha I plan on ordering one as soon as it's available for us northerners.
