ebowejr
I'm a little disappointed with Milwaukee that they have not made the multi tool in a brushless version yet. It's really the perfect tool for brushless technology because of it's constant run time making it cooler in your hand as well as a longer tool life. Hope someone from Milwaukee sees this thread and realizes that it's a great idea
Javier
It's a great idea I thought the same thing when I learned the new one wasn't. It's coming for sure though but not officially yetA fuel m12 version is needed also
BK13
I want both the M12 and M18 versions, but I wonder how many of the non-Fuel version they actually sell? If the volume is pretty low, it might not make any sense to jump right on designing a new tool...
DR99
The multi-tool market is pretty saturated now. Realistically the only people that will buy the M12 and M18 multi tools are the ones already bought in to the battery platform. I think the brushed version was a rush to get something out in the market they did something similar with the M12 sds drill they had the brushed version first and released the Fuel brushless version 6 months later. BK13
Well, we can hope Big Red is quick on the draw getting the Fuel versions into our grubby little paws...
ebowejr
At the moment I'm putting off projects around the house because I want the fuel version....not redoing the bathroom tile until it's out. And the girlfriend actually agreed! Not that she truly understands the difference but she agreed anyway.

Not only was it not brushless but is is also slower than the M12 version. I love the M12 but decided to hold off on the M128 till the brushless version comes out. I was one of the suckers that bought the Brushed version of the M12 SDS but quickly sold it to get the Fuel version the day it was available. DR99
That sucks I got burnt on the M18 Fuel circular saw. They are putting out a full sized 7 1/4" version now. The cool thing is the M12 fuel circular saw. Realistically you could now get by with just M12 tools depending on what your doing. Milwaukee can feel like the Apple of the tool world you get a new tool and 6 months later they come out with something better.
NicholasShetley
What size is the M12 circular saw?
Javier
There was an earlier thread where a guy said his Milwaukee rep said 5-3/8" blade. That's pretty good in my opinion.
Bigmikez
Wow a m12 circular saw!!!! Man I'm definitely goin milwaukee for my 12v series
DR99
The Bosch 12V circular saw was only 3-3/8 inches. Also its only sold in Europe so far.
Punda1991
Milwaukee just took a shit on the other companies, so so so happy I went with then years back! Way to go me
Punda1991
They may not be the best in all categories but they are all good solid tools that get my job done no questions asked
Javier
I'm glad they went straight to brushless on the first m12 circular saw. I know 5-3/8" is only speculation at this point but it makes sense since it's brushless. Usually Milwaukee doesn't care about following others and looking at the pic it makes sense since the blade guards dwarf the 4.0 battery
Javier
It might even spank the pants off diy brands 5-1/2" blade 18v models
Punda1991
I'm right with you Javier, I think it will.
DR99
It might even spank the pants off diy brands 5-1/2" blade 18v modelsI out of all the Ryobi tools I have used over the years their circular saw was the biggest weak point. The reciprocating saw got me through a lot though. I would have liked to have seen some nailers but we can't have everything. The other thing is I was hoping to see an updated cordless vacuum. DR99
I should also add that Milwaukee is more trade oriented while the other companies tend to be more geared to the general contractor.
ebowejr
I love all the new tools that they just came out with but I'm still missing my brushless multi-tool and I know the day after I break down and buy one the brushless version will come out. frankiegarcia19
I was hoping for a fuel ratchet↑ im gonna buy the current one n bam the new one will come out...just like the fuel circ saw i bought

ebowejr
Even though the multi tool didn't get a fuel version I still have a lot more tools to look at once fall arrives with the new line up, the new sds rotary hammer drill and new 7.25" circ saw will definitely be joining my red and black team!
