Just wondering what everyone uses or swears by during these cold winters. Jacket, bibs, thermal. What's your must haves.

I work indoors most of the time on a psych unit, that I swear drops to below zero around 3 am. I usually have a heavy shirt followed by an underarmour hoodie. I need to get a dewalt hoodie.

I'm pretty sure nobody want to see a tall fat hairy yet bald guy either.

It never really gets truly cold here in Portlandia, but it sure rains a lot! Rain gear does help keep you warm...

A good scarf. Anything fleece And wool. It gets cold here, winter temps normally drop to 15-20 below at night, not right now but soon.

last year in the winter I got a little sun burn on the back of my legs - I painted the house and the sun was in the back of me the whole day. man that was hurting later on - specially in the popliteal (I hope that's the right word for it)

Carhartt coats are the best coats I have ever tried. For hats I have a bomber hat(just imagine a Russian winter hat), the think looks stupid but it's warm as Hell!

Up here in Maine and in Boston you gotta have a good jacket ( preferably Carhartt ) , some good zip up hoody's , thermal long johns, thermal shirts, gloves, beanies, all that stuff. It gets so cold up here. You just gotta layer up, and take off layers as you warm up. Get some good socks as well. When I'm outside working all day, and I know it's gonna be snowing I wear my Columbia ski jacket and pants, as they are waterproof and that's way better than a soaking wet Carhartt. And in the rainy, windy weather I swear by my Carhartt rain jacket, with plenty of layers underneath. You also gotta factor in the wind up here as we are on the ocean, and the wind chill is brutal.
