cordless circ saws

You will find that corded saws have both left and right blade versions. Blade right is a sidewinder saw and blade left is a worm drive.

Cordless saws are a little all over the place.. for some reason most 6.5" cordless are setup blade left like a worm drive and most 7.25" cordless coming out recently have been blade right, sidewinder style.

There are plusses and minuses to both, they will both do the job, a lot of it is personal preference although there are some situations where one will be more convenient than the other.

somebody initially made the sidewinder saws right handed, and it was copied the same. lol

worm drives are mostly left handed, and those are used by framers who cut all day, if that tells you something.

personaly, my go-to cordless saw is the dewalt 36 volt circular.  its left handed, has a 7.25 blade, and cuts like a corded saw.
