hathatyl Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 Just wondering. I know they're a cheaper brand, but are they only good as paper weights or are they hidden gems? only reason i ask is cause i was shopping the "hot new releases" section on amazon and saw thishttp://www.amazon.com/Campbell-Hausfeld-NF349099AV-Cordless-Lithium-Ion/dp/B010P7ISAG/ref=zg_bsnr_551236_1
comp56 Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 i've had a campbell Hausfeld finishing nailer for about 6 years never missed a beat.......actually have a 3gl compressor for small stuff too that works great.
DR99 Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 Wow that is insane deal if its a decent tool which the reviews say it is. The only thing I see bad about it is the charger isn't a smart charger. Blows my Paslode away price wise
DR99 Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 Weird the only retailer that seems to sell it is CPO through their various retail outlets like walmart, ebay, amazon, and others. Wish i could find more information about it.
jbw55 Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 I've used a few of the air tools, grinder, drill, impact....they worked well for not much investment.
WeldfabNeil Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 I used there die grinder. It's the biggest piece of crap ever. I thought the biggest problem was lack of power. With that thoe the thing only cost me 20 bucks. I could of bought like 5 cambell huasfeld grinders for the price of my ingersoll rand.
hathatyl Posted September 4, 2015 Author Report Posted September 4, 2015 Alright I'll give it a shot and let you guys know how it is. Just ordered it, expected delivery is the 17. If its crap it was cheap and its amazon so I can definitely return it.
kruton Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 I have used a couple of their smaller air nailers. I didn't have any complaints. That being said I just borrowed them for a job so I don't have extensive time with them. For the price I would have to say it's worth a try.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
torontotoolman Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 Iv used there stick framers befor there okay the are a great throw away guy you can build a few houses but after they get worked there fucked but if your not using it every day it would be good Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk

bothuhead19 Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 I had a Campbell Hausfeld 6 gallon pancake compressor for awhile. I actually like it a little more than my Porter Cable 6 gallon pancake. It ran more quiet though it took a little longer to refill. But it always started up and worked fine, even had it running a roofing nailer for a church project. I can't say too much about any of their guns but they seem to be a decent value brand. I'm curious to see how your new nailer will perform.
jeffmcmillan Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 How did this work out, Hatter?
hathatyl Posted September 21, 2015 Author Report Posted September 21, 2015 How did this work out, Hatter?Sorry im a bit behind on testing it. I did fire it once just to see, but im in an apt complex and its pretty loud. Ill have to take it over to my friend or fathers house here sometime to use up a whole box of nails to see how it goes.
DR99 Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 All of the impulse nailers are loud. That's the one big downside to them plus the cost of the fuel.
PeteW Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 use to own there hot dog compressor it was such a piece of shit it was 100db loud and took 7 mins to fill a 3 gallon tank. i hated it and was trying to break it so i could buy a rol-air and i ran it in -10 degree weather and it broke big time. now i have a rol- air air buddy and i love it.
Dan2425 Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 i had a 26 gallon Compressor and it lasted 8 years and is still going today! I'd say its decent for the price but for occasional use.
HiltiWpg Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 I have a set that I got on sale. Framer and Brad. I have no issues whatsoever and for what I paid , I was expecting garbage. I would by them again.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Conductor562 Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 CH was once known as a good quality brand. Had a big plant in Ohio. They changed hands a couple times, migrated toward import stuff, and quality became sporadic. The thing is, import tools have greatly improved over the years. For non professional use I'd say go for it.
