DR99
That is pretty cool no one else has a pin nailer yet I think the other companies only go to 18 gauge
ChrisK
Well I just got the Makita 5" 18v sander and this will be a nice tool that I have been specing out for quite a while. I was going to get the PC or the Hitachi but this one had been the one I was originally looking at. Interestingly enough the few Makitas I have have been made in either Japan or the United Kingdom. I'm curious where this one comes from.
DR99
I have the Makita sander but no Makita batteries or charger I got it like 2 years ago cheap as my HD was clearancing it out for some reason.
ChrisK
Well if you want to drop a bone you can get the hammer drill or impact and pick up a 3.0 and charger for $99 at HD. Of course if your like me your like "another freakin' drill?????"

Turner85
Is this the same as the dpt351 here in Europe, be nice to hear your thoughts on it if so. I've been wanting one for a long time
ChrisK
I called over today Turner. They said it should ship in the next two days because they were out of stock. I'm not sure if it is the same model but I believe it is based on I can't find any other pinners from Makita
JerryNY
That's pretty sweet. I kinda wish Ryobi would make a 12 volt pin nailer just to make it as small as possible but they don't really do 12v like Milwaukee, and Milwaukee doesn't even do cordless nailers but an M12 version would be fantastic. That Makita looks really nice but I think it would take me 5 years to go through the 3k nails it gets on one charge lol. It sounds like a dream tool for shops that do lots of fine work though. comp56
aside from an air finish nailer I also have an air upholstery stapler that doesn't have a safety governor so it can shoot 19 staples a second for production.....not your gramps stapler......anyway would love to have a cordless unit that did the same... JerryNY
looks nice, barely larger than a stapler.

The.Handyman
I just purchased one of these from Home Depot today. It wasn't on the floor yet. I had an employee get one of the 2 they had in stock sitting high on the shelf. I managed to talk the store manager and tool department manager into using this bare tool with the big Makita drill set to get the $150 off promotion! They weren't happy about doing it but I kept telling them that the sign states 'any bare tool' in conjunction with the large kit. I can't wait to use it!
