Justin Hernandez
It seems like everyday I come home to find an unexpected repair. Someone ran over my mailbox and stood it back up like no one will notice. My luck needs to change, things have been breaking non stop around the house. 2016 needs to end already..lol Time for a steel pole and 160 pounds of concrete

ChrisK
Sorry to hear that Justin. For your next one use reinforced concrete with a decorative facade. Next time it happens will be the last time it happens

99_XC600
That reminds me of my older's brother solution from having his mailbox destroyed every year from the discharge of the snow plows that went up his street. He had his shop weld up a mailbox post using 4x4x1/2" square tubing and then a mail box was constructed of 3/8" steel plate, The post was then set in about 5' of concrete. I think the entire setup weighed in about 200 pounds.

You should see the heating plant in his house, You need to have a degree from NASA in order to operate it.
ChrisK
Well I was definitely off on that one! I figure if I have to rebuild my mailbox it's going to be armored to the hilt. That was the next brain surgeon that hits it will break both arms or loose a bumper

KnarlyCarl
Wow that's too bad, hope you can repair without to big of a hassle. Tree trimming company came thru to clear branches away from power lines and managed to crush my mail box a little. Luckily they replaced it for us.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
