  1. That's mostly the biggest issue most guys have. I think he was surprised when the big tool companies wouldn't license his technology, but it was an issue of cost people want cheap portable table saws they are on sale 89/99 every black friday at hd and lowes.
  2. That's not a bad idea for an FD I know the blade isn't as big but being cordless has its positives.
  3. We have an Ace hardware by us it used to be a regional hardware store brand called ACO Hardware. It's nice but their prices and selection can be lacking at times.
  4. Sthil might be the standard for a cutoff saw, but Dewalt is a mass market tool company someone might be willing to add this to their stable of tools compared to investing in a Sthil setup gas or battery powered.
  5. Hrmm, odd Russia of all places is getting it first
  6. I made a FB comment about what happened to the new batteries. The linked a video eric and dan did on the new vacuum, and I was like what happened to the packs you teased at an event awhile ago. They were like we cant' talk about new products.
  7. I really wonder what happened with the higher capacity batteries. Home Depot just wasn't willing to buy them or what?
  8. Yea you should feel hear a ratcheting sound locking the bit in.
  9. Sync lock seems to be mostly helping with job site shrinkage not for full blown theft.
  10. I have heard tool theft is a huge issue in the UK right now
  11. No one linked Danger Zone!?!?
  12. Like Jimbo mentioned tear out could be an issue. I would drill a pilot hole first and partially drill both sides first and then pick one side to punch through. Another method is putting a small piece of wood behind the hole your drilling that also helps with tear out.
  13. Wow, surprised on the radio for T-stacks
  14. Yea I'm sure that hit deal sites and all the tool blogs. I used to write tool deals for the TIA main page, but it was hard because a good chunk are time or inventory limited. Lets be honest the stuff in the Ad's isn't that great
  15. Yea it might be tough finding what you want right now Starlock is new to market and a proprietary system, so any accessories have to be licensed. Part of the reason for Starlock was to lock people in to higher priced accessories
  16. Looks great. I'm spoiled with having natural gas heat though. I know most people have ditched fuel or or propane though as the prices can be volatile when you least expect it.
  17. It's weird they show the same voltage charged like that, but yea sounds like something wrong with the one pack if the other one works just fine.
  18. The heated jackets all use the same power plug to plug into the battery adapter. I'm pretty sure your fine as all the electronics are either in the battery or adapter.
  19. I had the blue version that finally died of the Ryobi inflator. Only the second Ryobi tool that failed on me the other was the leaf blower.
  20. Rubber overmold would have helped with aesthetics and its just nice to have on a tool. The 90's are in though right now so maybe Dewalt is going retro with tool styling!! Everything old seems to become cool again.
  21. Wont last long I imagine https://checkout.shopify.com/21966925/checkouts/d6681a63040d802118aa1fda0131bab3?channel=buy_button&mc_cid=d8ad2da783&mc_eid=93756d9b88&utm_campaign=d8ad2da783-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_11_08&utm_medium=email&utm_source=FestoolRecon&utm_term=0_29355aa66c-d8ad2da783-79608601
