  1. Yeah, what with the Milwaukee tools I have been purchasing I bought their new Chainsaw today. I was going to go Flexvolt because I have two flexvolt tools, the circ and the grinder, but the chain tensioning bolts cinched it. I’ve been burnt by Milwaukee a few times but what I have I really like, the 10” miter, the transfer pump, the Surge (really liking that), the m12 hoodie and inflator. I figured I’ll try this one out. I hope I don’t get burned! I was going to go Flexvolt on the miter but I figured the size and weight of the Milwaukee won out. I have my Kapex in the shop so I figured going lighter and battery only was okay plus I have two 9.0sAll told though I don’t see getting rid of my Dewalts. Even my brother who uses Milwaukee exclusively loves my yellow tools.
  2. So going back to the op, Dewalt is a real good manufacturer of tools, I wish I could limit myself to just one line but alas.... Too bad about the recip saws, I don’t have one. I bought a Milwaukee corded sawzall from one of our mods a while back. It’s a sawzall, there really is no comparison. My Makita 18v recip is really good. I have heard mixed reviews on the Dewalt recip but they are still the king of the mitersaw in New England. And my 20v hammer is the bees knees. A lot of guys don’t like the three speed tranny but I like it a lot. And that chuck is diamond hard. Pulse the three speed impact is still my go to impact. The new Surge I got is awesome. My Dewalt mid torque impact wrench is a dream to use.
  3. I know it’s not a pick up and I am not a Ford guy but the Bronco looks to be pretty sweet. Supposedly it’s built on the still produced Ranger chassis? I can tell you first ha d the my sister in law traded her 96 Ranger for a goat, I kid you not. That truck was still running like a top after 300k. Crazy reliable truck when I cannot I under emphasis how poorly she treated that thing.
  4. Sorry dude, we are getting off topic. Let’s let it lie where it lies. Thanks!
  5. Dude. Shut it down. Or I will. Also, welcome to the forums.
  6. You too Buddy!!!! Stay cool bro!!!
  7. Fellow USA Citizens, happy Independence Day guys! I hope you all have a safe Holiday with your families and if you are in New England enjoy the heat wave! I am getting off duty at 1300 and going right in the pool and then barbecuing for my family. If I am really lucky I might get some shop time vefore my in laws come over.
  8. Now that is the American Way!!! Of course I will have to order them now.....
  9. Yeah that’s exactly why I bought mine but apparently the first gen had them and then the next two models didn’t. Not sure why. Mine are rounded with an attached flat piece but they don’t roll. Solid frame though, I like it a lot, just a couple of design issues I was not aware of
  10. I bought my Dewalt DWX726 stand through a third party vendor off of eBay, an unofficial seller. It was missing some bolts and the like. I called Dewalt, they ordered the parts and sent them to me for FREE. Three months ago, one of my 60v batteries crapped out. I bought the 60v Circe saw on our forum from a great member, not an authorized seller. I called over to Dewalt and they sent me a brand new 60v battery for FREE. I guess I like the commitment Dewalt has to their customers and the Research and Development they put in their tools. No proof of purchase, no receipts, no nothing. Just a call. They stand behind their products. And they are doing the whole global materials made here...I know that is a sensitive spot here but I like knowing that several of my Dewalt are assembled here. It might not be that big a deal to some, but it is to me. Kind of like my 2017 Toyota Tundra SR5/TRD Crewmax. Sure it’s Japanese but it was made in Texas. I like that. Milwaukee arguably has the best warranty in the business, of course I have had to use that warranty several times with brand new tools which made me change course and buy into Dewalt. Now I have some very specific Milwaukee tools to fit very specific purposes and am pretty happy with these purchases. Milwaukee has stepped up over the years and has really begun to put some quality work in their tool lineup. Remember when Milwaukee pushed out the V18 tools and then abruptly cancelled the lineup and went with the M18 lineup. Interestingly enough, they didn’t cancel the M28lineup completely but have limited the lineup. Dewalt continues to support the original 18v lineup and even developed a conversion kit to power 18v tools with the 20v lineup. They added a 40v OPE lineup and developed the first multi volt battery system with the 60v lineup. True, you cannot power the 60v tools with the 20v batteries but...the other way works just fine and adds a ton more run time. I guess everyone on this forum is polarized from one company to another. I’m not, that’s why I have like 20 different chargers on my rack. If you ask me Dewalt makes awesome tools. Period. So does Ryobi. So does Milwaukee. So does Makita. So does Hitachi and on and on and on....And thus far I have no issues with any of the tool manufacturers I use. To the OP, @fm2176 I tried to go with one battery system, it just ain’t possible. Dewalt makes awesome tools. And a lot of them are made here. That’s pretty cool. Milwaukee is doing that now too. Pretty darn cool. But they don’t make ALL the tools. I wishe Dewalt kept the 12v tools coming, maybe they still will, maybe not. And to note, besides my Dewalt 20v nailers, the next group of nailers that I like and trust are lime green and made by Ryobi, not Milwaukee. Not Makita, not Hitachi and not Bosch. But alas, I have three Dewalt 20v nailers...the two speed framer, the 18g bradder and the 16g finish. I use them and have developed an opinion of them. They are sooooooooo sweet. My brother is a pro plumber and LOVES Milwaukee. He does not use any other tools till he drops into my shop and tries to grab my Festools...I don’t think so little bro...I don’t think so 😎 Just my two cents bro.
  11. Sorry dude, I have been wanting that saw for a while but got a screaming deal on the Milwaukee so went a different route. Welcome to the forums though!
  12. Yeah it’s a pretty simple set up with one 1x12 pine board. I have multiple chargers in the box along with the drills. The clamp storage is for my Dewalt XL clamps and my 12” f style clamps. The larger rack rack is one clamp deep with the shelves serving as clamp supplies, drill bit storage etc. All of the rack is plywood and drilled into studs to carry the massive weight of all of those parallel clamps. I will need to make another rack for several deep throat clamps that currently live on the floor in a bag it’s on my short list to complete.
  13. I think they are both pretty slick ideas dude. I built mine based on a standard wall mount design and naturally there is a longer run meaning wider footprints. I see where you think the second design would be stronger because of the middle brace but it looks like you would use more plywood than the first without too much more storage gain. I like that you are thinking ahead though, the one thing a woodworker NEVER has enough of is clamps! I have attached my two current storage racks and you’ll see you get more in place than I do using either of your designs.
  14. Yeah, it seems decent, I don’t like that the extensions aren’t rollers and my DW734 doesn’t fit on it but it will by golly..it will.
  15. A little bit frustrating today. I bought a DWX726 rolling miter saw/planer stand. That’s right....planer stand. Well wouldn’t you go and figure my darn DW734 is too wide for the stand?!?!?! Anyways, I am building a small wooden base to attach to the DWX726 and then bolt the DW734 to the wood base so I can use the extensions....on another note, the stand is pretty sweet. Went together really nice.
  16. Beautiful, love the floating deck. Also love the table trim, simple and really elegant.
  17. Yeah....I try to control my anger with irate glares, grunts and the occasional temper tantrum. Doors can be a real pain in the butt that’s for sure but it is coming out great. Can’t wait to see it done bro. Are you going to finish the project too or leave it ply and unfinished?
  18. Hehehehe.....so.....a little anger I suppose 😉
  19. Welcome to the forums bro glad to have you here!
  20. Looking awesome bro!
  21. The Bosch has an LED light. Milwaukee does not. The Bosch fits my hand better and feels better when working with it. Both tools have removable tips so you can use some Dremel accessories. The Bosch has a smoother speed control wheel where the Milwaukee Tool I had, you had to slightly push in the wheel and turn (could’ve been a fluke but I hated it on mine). The Milwaukee rotary tool served me well for quite a while but the Bosch looked more refined and it after having it for several months, it is. Believe it or not, I use the rotary tool pretty regularly and keep it upstairs as opposed to down in the workshop because I am pulling it out weekly. But ultimately, it is personal preference not a fact saying the Milwaukee is junk. I had mine for about five or six years and bought the Bosch last fall. For M12 Tools I have the inflator and a heated hoodie. For Bosch 12v Tools I have two work lights, two jackets (one for me one for my wife) the vacuum and this tool. If I was planning on staying with Milwaukee tools I probably would’ve bought the Bosch. But then again when I say that. I say “I”. If you want the Milwaukee I would not say boo, it’s a good tool and if you are vested in the platform why not get it?

  23. Got it. Love it. Way better than the M12 version, I had that one too and sold it a while back to order this. Love the LED, nice power, very comfortable to use.
  24. Welcome to the forums bro! I hope you have money we will help you spend it!
