  1. Nearest one to me is about 3-1/2 hours in Mass
  2. Online only or in store?
  3. Thus far in a drawer in my Dewalt tool box but with the Kreg router table I have yet to assemble, I’ll be building a wood storage cabinet underneath and making custom drawers.

    2x20V lawn mower

I am pretty impressed with the OPE that I own that run on batteries. Here is an interesting article from Husky about their products with battery power. As I’ve been following through with replacing my OPE, the only pre mixed tool I’ve got left is my Echo string trimmer. Given the opportunity I will replicate it with battery power. I have heard enough poor reviews of the Dewalt to be disenhearted about its run time but would still get it with the batteries I have but, I bought the Ego two summers ago (older one with a 5.0). I don’t like the plastic deck, it’s pretty heavy. But it’s solid, the run time on a 2.0 and a 5.0 gets my property done, the lights for dusk use are great and it is a quality built machine. I’m probably going to get the Flexvolt chainsaw or the Milwaukee next month. I have a Dewalt blower (Ego too....power house blower, the first gen one) and a hedge trimmer. Both Dewalt run a long time on Flexvolt 2/6 batteries (only ones I have in the Flexvolt range). I run a Makita x2 12” chainsaw.... And will still get the Dewalt or Flexvolt. No problems with the Makita as a matter of fact I took it over to my neighbors and cut a solid Maple tree limb that was about 10”diameter into 1-1/2’ lengths that had toppled in her driveway. I want a larger bar, the Makita is a beast that runs a long time. In short....battery power. For a guy who lives in the deep woods who had a pretty decent sized lawn inside my wood palisade is a winner. I cannot speak to the string trimmer but the day my old Echo finally bites the dust (which I have beaten this thing with a stick...it runs and runs and runs and...) I’m going battery power. It gets the work done just fine.
  6. 20v bradder. Brand spanking new awesome eBay score.
  7. First off welcome to the forums. Brand decisions are hard to make made harder by asking 😉 here. We are ALWAYS willing to help part a guy from his money. Ridgid and Milwaukee make excellent tools. Milwaukee has a larger tool base. I have gone back and forth on Milwaukee and have given them a third chance with some very specialized tools and thus far I am very happy with them. Ridgid has fewer tools but am incredible warranty if you register properly. Ryobi is also a real brand to consider. Between Ryobi and Milwaukee nailers, I would go Ryobi all day long as I’ve owned both. There are other brands out there too. Good luck!

  9. Yup. Ain’t that the truth🤨
  10. I got the Milwaukee. I actually like it. Score three for team red. Still a long way to go but thus far it’s a pretty nice saw. It’s not my Kapex but I didn’t get it for finish work, I got it for working outside. I would still have gone with the Makita or the Flexvolt without hesitation but I got a screaming hot deal on a reconditioned unit and I already have two 9.0s for the friggin awesome transfer pump I’ve been using for the last two months.
  11. All the links for purchase in the USA I could find are dead ends. Probably not available yet I should imagine.
  12. I cannot speak about the Milwaukee but my 575 is pretty sweet 👍
  13. I sold mine to another member a while back, I miss the jigsaw, it’s an awesome piece of machinery and well built.
  14. I’ve got the super short one and love it. I think it’s 4 inches? I kee[ it in my occidental clip pouch. Really nice square, got it on eBay as a factory second about three years ago.
  15. The DeWalt is pretty well thought of and the Milwaukee has dual bevel whereas the DeWalt is single bevel. Regardless I don’t own either. I do have the M18 Fuel 10” miter and it is pretty sweet.
  16. I’m kind of on the opposite side whereas I prefer LN but the shoulder plane was a big deal to me. Also, I have the Veritas bullnose and that is a great plane too. I actually tried the LN shoulder plane at a LN event and it feels solid but the Veritas is much more “tuneable” in my opinion. I am not a real fan of the Veritas bench planes because of the lever caps and adjustments where I really like the old Stanley bedrock style
  17. I have the large Veritas shoulder and it’s a real piece of art. Love the tool, I too went pm-v11. I was going to go Lie Nielsen but I like the Veritas much more. LN makes a beautiful shoulder plane but this is one time Veritas got it right!
  18. I’ve got the gravity feed Semi Pro 2.Christmas present from my wife last Christmas. It’s suh-freakin’-weet
  19. I’m not a pro but like Joe, I have had a lot of luck with my 692. I bought it reconditioned from CPO Dewalt, it was clearly used. Actually the most used looking tool I have bought from them. But...outside of a jam here or there, it’s a solid tool. I only use the 5.0s or the flexvolt batteries though, the 4.0 batteries get drained really quick (not that I have any left, they have all been sold and 5.0 and flexvolt and one 2.0 are all I have now)
