  1. I just saw the Tia video on this. I'd get it if I had the 18v tools but....I don't. I think it's totally worth it though. Awesome innovation from what was arguably a big mistake from Dewalt. Those guys are picking up and helping their customers out with this one!
  2. Nah.....I don't mention the green too much Jimbo. Once you take a hit your an addict. A lot of guys have never tried those tools so it's hard to argue the merit of spending a ton of cash on a tool with someone that's never tried one. I'm the mintority on this site with the exception of NER, Andrew, Regopit, I don't think there too many guys sporting blue and green. Besides for general mechanical and carpentry stuff there's things Festool just doesn't have. Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ridgid, Ryobi it's all good. That's why I have got so many different brands for cordless stuff, take for instance my Bosch tools and wireless charging station. Or my Ryobi 18v Brad. My Makita 23ga pinner....I suffer my addiction to myself
  3. And just to chime in, this is a loaded question which will generate a lot of personal opinions but what are you going to do with the tools? Are you more of a mechanic, a woodworker, DIY type? Some of the brands offer more than others in different fields. If they will sit, absolutely, go lithium, keep them indoors. Are you going to want to expand your platform? You'll find yourself saying.....wow, I really need that tool" when you don't have it. The question wil be is the platform you bought into going to hfs those tools. Then when you figure that out asking which brand will get you 20 trillion responses from the guys and gals here!
  4. Ahhhh.....and naturally when I think of things I think of Kate Upton. That actually makes a lot of sense now
  5. Welcome to the forum Tommy! As far as the storm goes, we lucked out in NH. I hope all is going well for all you guys.
  6. Great job Dwain. Especially love the gate.
  7. @Moze I don't know how I missed this one but wow! Awesome video sir. Love the additions to you pr cart, fantastic idea! It's got to make your installs go quicker and more professional too.
  8. Although not opposed to it, we have been trying to cut back the sheer number of forum sections to streamline content. I'll wait to see what the other moderators think and we can make a general suggestion to Conductor. I would add, that I have been posting videos on the forum for a couple of years now but specifically attach them to a specific sub forum (i.e. pub talk, shop, projects etc.) as it relates to one topic or another.
  9. Pretty sweet Comp, any chance you can show off all the features?
  10. Private too dude. If you list it as public or the other one (can't remember the name its for people with a link) it should play.
  11. Well duh. Look at all that cleavage. It's measurable in square yards.
  12. Jason, we have got to get together! You'll be changing brands real quick!!!!!
  13. Thanks WigWag! I'm thinking a new bandsaw is in future........hunnnnnnnnnnnn hunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn huminahumina hunnnnnnnnnnnn........yep! My Gyspy powers say bandsaw!!!!!
  14. What the heck are plugguhs????? Hilarious!!!!!
  15. Well....I got a box in the mail courtesy of NEMF and the guy even took some pallets from me!
  16. Thank you John! I'm glad your getting use out of these beauties. It was real depressing seeing them sitting on my table collecting dust.
  17. Well being a Toyota fan, congratulations Taylor! Enjoy that truck and get out there and build something!
  18. Can't wait to see what you end up with Wigwag. I listen to wood talk via iPod and Marc was saying that Laguna's customer service is atrocious. I want to counter that by saying it was 2007 episode (I just started listening to them and have started at episode 1, I'm at 44 now) anyways Laguna, regardless is a top of the line saw regardless of CS!
  19. Hey I just noticed on further close up, are those brass screw heads or decorations on the lid?
  20. I'm with you Comp. I wouldn't sell that. First off, cool story. Then the fact that it's from that era, that's just neat. Nope, some polish and maybe a nice hardwood display case with maybe a family photo in it.....that's a really nice ornamental display.
  21. Yeah that is true. I know we have a guy in town here that is very reputable but I think he serves an entire area.
