  1. Just out of curiosity, will their new dust collector accept their boxes on the lid like my Festools do? I looked over the description on Ohio tool but it didn't say.
  2. That would be pretty cool to see. The video was clearly biased but aren't they all?
  3. Obviously I'm not a contractor and if I was not so deep in my systainers I'd probably be adding to my Dewalt tough system but these look really high quality and though expensive I have learned over the years that my tools, which will be used professionally in the near future, cost a lot of $$$ so an investment in a modular system isn't a far fetch for me. Milwaukees cases look pretty tough, I thing the tests they were shooting videos were very biased against Dewalt, most noteably the cement block being dropped by the corner on the Dewalt while flat on the Milwaukee but regardless, these things will take a serious crash and keep your expensive investments safe.
  4. When you connect the tracks, before you tighten the connectors slide your new saw so the two ends meet in the middle of the saws shoe. This will ensure that the tracks are straight. Tighten the connectors. Then mark your measurements and lay the chip strip on the line. That's where the cut will be.
  5. The DJV181 brushless barrel grip. I don't remember the price it was like 220? I had to pu import fees which were pretty high like 50

    New Sander

I'm curious if they will make a mod to fit existing airstream batteries for the tool or if you will have to buy the batteries that come with this. I will say from personal experience, they make a wonderful sander. There were some bearing issues with the new limited sander they released earlier but mine has been trouble free. I also run the RO90DX.
  7. Big words Kurt. Big words ?

    Want this so bad!

A Hilti meeting after @Tug checks out their site..... Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  9. Can't speak on that one but I do have the HKC55. If you run the 15v batteries it definitely has less power than the 18v (naturally). For me I can't say I would use the cordless one over the corded (I love my corded) as I use the intergrated DC. I have not tried the cordless track saw though.

    DHP 482...

My predecessor to that drill and my first high quality tool was the. MAkita BHP452, it was a really decent drill and would sink tapcons relatively well.
  11. I bought mine from a Canadian retailer. Have had it for over a year. It's a fantastic machine.
  12. Yup, I've got one. It's awesome.
  13. Hat is actually a really sweet set up. And based on the included equipment you could buy two sets and attach them for full length plywood cuts for relatively cheap money.
  14. That is going to look great cleaned up bro!
  15. **last comment deleted, Chris**
  16. Good for you dude, it works! And $28 bucks!!! Win win

    Festool USA

Pretty cool news story if your in to Festool. They are going to begin producing rails here in the USA. Also....some cordless sanders are being released in Europe in August, hope to see something here.
  18. No worries bro! Glad to help.
  19. I noticed that too. The rails are interchangeable with Festool by the way if you have any floating around.
  20. Try this one out bro.... http://m.elairecorp.com/site/makitaroutercollets.html?imz_st Looks like Elaire makes these custom. I found the article here... http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?218618-1-8-quot-(and-other-size)-collets-available-for-Makita-RT070x-series-routers Also, normally we get wary of new guys posting links but you seem like a swell guy ? Hope this helps by the way!
  21. Mine is 1/4" and 3/8", I don't know why it wouldn't but I'll be honest, having a chucked bit going a few thousand rpms, I would be really sure. Typically the 110s used SAE sized bits as opposed to metric so it's probably acceptable buuuuuuut......Maybe call Makita customer service, they'll know for certain. Also, welcome to the forums.
  22. They really aren't too expensive, the grip looks weird but they are super comfortable in hand. Totally worth the money.
