  1. Awesome stuff Jimbo. I just found out the Fuji HVLP my wife got me for Christmas fits beautifully in one of the large boxes.
  2. Are you friggin kiddin' me?!?!?!?!?!?! That's friggin awesome!!!!! Every nerd cell in my body is having a friggin spasm right now! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. And slowly....using all of its great strength....the Kraken slowly emerges.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. A little. Not enough though. The 700 will be mine!!!!!!!
  5. Couple of more lights and a wall studded up!!
  6. Also while we are in the subject of wax....I use the sameness wax Comp posted but for my tools, cast iron and planes, chisels etc they get the Renaissance Wax treatment Although I have used it on wood for drawer runners I'd stick with Tim for cast iron after it's been treated. It's pretty expensive stuff comparatively. https://www.amazon.com/Renaissance-XTL-8004-Wax-Polish-65ml/dp/B003AJWN62
  7. Wow! That's awesome Rich! If you wanted to finish it go for it, I'd recommend the same as Comp for the wax though. Make thing slide nice and easy. Color? That's a wide open book. Neat stuff dude!
  8. Amen Rich! The initial investment hurts but yeah, buy once! I've got that guide too Rich and I like it a lot.
  9. The ones I have tried honestly don't suffer from balance though the Milwaukee looks the most tipsy. Im sure it's centered by the head though.
  10. I had no idea they made a Collins foot for hat little guy!!!
  11. Hmmmm......I've got the Makita, it's brilliant, wish I had the Carvex (I have the corded version) but here are some pics to help
  12. Got it, great book! Plus I podcast Woodtalk online ALL OF THE TIME You should see my specialty planes!
  13. Oh and one more thing! Sell those extra cutters on eBay! People see Festool on eBay and they pay twice what a typical craftsman, woodworker would pay. Also the sellers seem to know this because you can buy used Festools for more than new ones. And there are morons that will buy them!
  14. I've got the 500 bro It is.....well it's....it's......oh heck, it's the best tool on the planet. Maybe the 700 is better but the 500 is fantastic. Also, two pieces of advice. Never use without dust collection and never by your Dominos here, you can get them on Amazon UK or DE for a huge savings!
  15. Ahah! Soon to be a fellow Domino owner. Welcome to the club dude.
  16. Oh Gawd! Home Depot tool chest?!?!?!?!
  17. It's Chinese. They make it with lead so.... pretty much EVERYTIME!
  18. I cannot speak to the Reaxx but I've been running my sawstop for over a year and it's beautifully made and rock solid. The contractor version looks to be better designed but the truth of the matter is, if my cartridge goes off I'm out of a blade and a brake. Ultimately though...who cares. I haven't set it off yet and I'll be more concerned with the cost of another pair of Levi 569's if it happens as opposed to buying another blade and brake.
  19. Nice work dude. I got a bunch of pen and pencil kits from Penn State just befor my Son was born. Can't wait to get back in the turning game!
  20. I don't have it but it looks solid. For a cordless jig saw I've got the Makita brushless barrel grip. If Dewalt had that....imagine a 20v brushless version of this
  21. Most of them have similiar features when they are brand specific but not all charge tool batteries though that is changing. I have had the older Milwaukee M18 (the first one that came out with the M18 lineup when it was first released and the o,d white Makita and did not like either. I got the Bosch before I even had any 18v tools from Bosch and now it's the only 18v tool I have from Bosch it's the older one without blue tooth but it is super clear and I used to use the ac adaptor until I got the iPhone 7+ (though I still can) and not I just use that little tiny Sony. But the Bosch is weather resistant and has been out in the rain with me on dozens of time while working outdoors.
  22. I just bought a really old Millers Falls skew block plane with removable side body panel as well as a Mills Falls No. 14 jack plane. Both are really old, older than me by quite a few years, and both will be restored prior to use. This will be a total of four new planes en route to the shop. Once the shop is ready to go I'll get to work getting these old chaps up to snuff for some serious work. I am still hoping to do a giveaway with one of the no 14 jack planes
  23. I'm not sure aside from for instance my Bosch, it charges batteries, runs of or tool batteries (Bosch in both cases), acts as a power distributor with four outlets, is weather resistant etc. Though I have the older 360S and my Wofe just bought me a Sony BT speaker which I use in the shop now and it is awesome.
