  1. Just assembled my main stay dust collection unit. Next up my ceiling mounted air cleaner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ice Rich. If I remember I'll try to post a few pics of my Lie Nielsen tools as well as my Veritas tools. Once you go to that dark place.....well....it's like Festool. Say goodbye to your wallet.
  3. Ha! Just ask my Doctor. It's hell on my poor little tummy
  4. Hahahahaha amen bro! It took me three days for the saw! Mostly refinishing the top. The move and storage was hell on it and I had some light rust developing on the iron and well as some heavy scratches. Could not get all the scratches out but Balistol, steel wool and mineral spirits, T9 Boeshield then a nice buff with Renaissance wax! I spend less time waxing my cars!!!
  5. I actually though about that. Problem will be the screws securing the panels. Can go with putty over them. Not sure I want to cover the screws with putty because eventually the walls will come down when the shop gets moved out and I build a family room down there. Any ideas?
  6. Annnnnnnd.....just ignore the small gap by the switch..... That is one side completed. I won't be "walling in" the whole basement. Just sections for the shop. Eventually the shop will be in an out building. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I will be trimming that wall and painting at some point but I'm still laying out this thing!! 7. Here is the girl looking all assembled and tuned up! Oh...and she's having a cappuccino.... And Will just slapped daddy down.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. How are you liking your incra Comp? Total PITA to dial in but it seems okay.
  9. No kidding? Not impressed?
  10. Nah, he just got them when he moved into his new home in Colarado. He was using simple homeowner tools for those projects! He got the Flexvolt tools in just before he starting getting his D.C. and Powermatic tools in place.
  11. He is staying with Powermatic, Festool backed out of sponsorship for whatever reason. And yeah, Marc is very clear about his sponsors. Which is great, he doesn't really endorse to many tools. I have been a guild member for a while and he does not cloud his projects with endorsement stuff at all, just the work itself. He did some public videos for Honda recently in which he blatantly was using the Ridgeline in each of the videos but those were not part of the paying guild projects which is really a testament to his business practices. I would add too that he was really professional about Festool taking off and he decidedly kept several tools while downsizing others like the Kapex. I believe he still owns it but he is checking out other sponsors products and fielding them. He did quite a bit of work with the Bosch and now he's introducing the Makita which I am looking forward too because it is a great saw too. I cannot wait to get his opinions on the Flexvolt stuff, I really like my circular but am interested in the miter.
  12. Jimbo! Gasp....cough...JIMBO!!!!! Is this really Jimbo?!?!?!?!!?!?!
  13. Welcome to the forum Ed. I think I may be a little biased but this IS a great forum ALL of the time
  14. I would have gone another route but got mine on the Recon sale for 40%! I paid the same as the new Dewalt 60v! Had I not gotten it that way? I can dream but no. Too. I had money for a hobby shop

Nice job Logan! Looks awesome bro! Are you going to finish it?
  16. And remember that Marc has gotten rid of almost all of his Festools, keeping only a few after a change in sponsorship and Festool going elsewhere. Currently he has changed out that Bosch for Makita but it's still pretty cool to be able to try out so many tools!
  17. I agree wth Rich, love my Kapex. If you were going elsewhere, I'd go with the bosch too. The dust collection on hat isn't very good either but there are quite a few mods you can do to the chute to improve it greatly. D.C. is a big deal to me too
  18. Oh I've got a truck We sold our home this summer and bought a new home, a town up, moving in at the very end of September. We were here for a month and half with my tools in storage. Then my son was born and we spent a month at the hospital. My sawstop spent quite a while (from July actually) disassembled and covered in tools and dust after I moved it from my last shop. This girl needed to be built from the table on up and recalibrated. I don't mind though, it's like seeing an old friend come back and taking the time to re calibrate everything makes me quite happy!
  19. Thanks Nordraw I ended up getting my sawstop assembled, tuned and calibrated and added the Incra fence. Tuning that friggin thing was a PITA. I also sheathed one 4' section of wall but slow going.
  20. Ha, no, no systainer for the level. It's a rebranded Stabilla lighted level as a limited edition Festool. I was at a local hardware store two years ago and they had the level leaned up against an old rack in the back of their Festool display. Awesome level too.
  21. That is pretty sweet Moze. I love my Sortainers but those are really cool, plus the incorporated clip thingy is really neat!
