  1. I bought one of his screwdrivers and it is a beautiful tool. Was using it yesterday while wiring in some outlets in my new shop
  2. That's awesome dude, she's gotta love that! Plus snoopy is awesome.
  3. Featherboards. They keep the material tight in and prevent kick back.
  4. Wow, beautiful work bro. I just ordered some West Systems to do a live edge table myself. I hope it comes out like that!
  5. My Dad retired from the shipyard 15 years ago and moved to Florida. He had a bunch of Ryobi tools in his home woodshop back then. He now does part time handy man work with those same tools, having switched SOME of his nicads over to LI batteries and those tools are still going strong. A buddy of mine, build homes professionally and he used Ryobi for all of his cordless tools. He figured they were cheap and wouldn't get stolen. Those things treated him just fine. I guess what I'm saying is this....you can go an outfit your DIY shop at home like I did I with Festool this and Dewalt that and really spend some serious coin but if cash is tight, why spend the money? Sure a lot of us stay home weekend warrior guys have some high end tools that sport some pretty fancy features but if your looking for some tools to do some DIY work and want them to last a long time, why go with somebody like Milwaukee or Dewalt who go through battery style changes every once in a while when fifteen years ago my Dad just upgraded his batteries? Those new batteries still powere his 15+ year old tools! Now, if you WANT to spend the cash....boy, let me tell you about Festool
  6. Also, started this project with my new Makita black and a fully charged 2.0. Still have two bars on this guy! Friggin awesome Makita!!!!!
  7. Yup thems the ones. Of course rockler gets them directly from Fastcap and they screwed up the order.
  8. I actually just purchased some permanent mounts for those so I can build an actual station with permanent wings and still use the wings. Problem is I bought them through Rockler and it looks like they messed the order up so I am still waiting.
  9. I've got all of the sheet goods and wiring plus the boxes for the wiring and another LED light for the area by the table saw... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Then? I got the casters and wood to build the mobile outfeed / assembly table. I have to build the new clamp racks and more wiring. Then a base for my mortiser. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Made some headway to, all of the walls are now skinned, I hung the two Gladiator cabinets and started some light organization. Next? I have to demo a huge cabinet made by the former home owner and this will give me three feet of depth where my Sawstop is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Why thank you guys! Absolutely home made, my wife makes the dough for me and then it is up to the big kahuna to make the magic happen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Oh yeah Not Carl! All about the shop! When we sold our last home, I was in a rush so one of my port a mates stayed behind but with the super lumber rack I built into the joists and this one off to the side plus the lumber cart all of my wood is off the deck and I finally had room to actually walk around. I'll take some pics tomorrow after we get back from my accountants office and get our taxes done. I've got to finish skinning one wall and then hang my two Gladiator cabinets on that wall and run more line for outlets, ha g one more shop light and then get the Tekton air compressor reel hung. I also got to use my new Supermax dust collector real quick. Ssssweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.....
  14. And here is the pre baked shaved steak and onion beast..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Today saw another wall get skinned, the port a mate lumber rack go up, all of my lumber and sheet goods get put away and a home made pizza is waiting to get assembled in a most fastidious fashion. However home made pizza dough can wait while Samuel Adams takes me away...takes me away...takes me..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have to agree guys, I've got it and it is awesome. Thanks @SevenOddosFence! Phil this thing is awesome!!!!!
  17. I use White Lightning in my mountain and road bikes as well as my tools. Stuff is awesome. Sheds dirt and grime and isn't greasy. Awesome suggestion though, I'll have to take a look at it. Thanks dude.
  18. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the major manufacturers. And like @rrmccabe said, don't be limited. I had more lineups in the past and tried to just go with two manufacturers but each brings something that the others might not offer. I have cordless 12v Bosch and 18v Makita along with 20v Dewalt (and a couple of 60v too) and 18v Festools. Dewalt, Makita, Bosch, Milwaukee, Hitachi, Hilti, Festool.....all are high end quality tools. Each brings a special plate to the table. Ridgid (AEG), Ryobi also have great lineups and arguably Ryobi has one of the largest platforms out there. Sometimes it's a PITA because of this but diversity is a pretty good thing when you find you need something that one brand doesn't have.
  19. Hahahahahahaha yeah.....Suuuuure there is!
  20. The shaft is certainly shorter than my wheel gauge but the register is way more positive and the cut is really impressive.
  21. Yeah it's certainly a specialty tool and it costs plenty but I do use it for gauging lines on wider boards because the radial register works slick as snot
