    New nailer

I've got this one bro. Absolutely awesome. I love mine. I have had two jambs, have to loosen the two Allen screws on top and bam. For all of the framing nails and outdoor work I be has done I am absolutely impressed with this. I'd suggest using 4.0 and higher (I use 5.0s) it drained my 3.0s in not time whereas I've framed 4 walls in the last few weeks (hey I've got a Son now!) and my 5.0 still shows three full bars. During this build I've also made a plywood storage cart to go against an unskinned wall. Battery keeps goin and going, nailed keeps sinking and sinking.
  2. Hey bro, forgot to link this.... https://www.festoolusa.com/media/pdf/Kapex-KS120-Supplemental-Manual.pdf Kind of interesting to see some of the highlights.
  3. True @comp56 I still haven't replaced my blade, the stock blades that come from Festool are super high quality and can get numerous sharpenings but if I don't have two good blades I would buy a Forrest. Wood is expensive and using a cheap-o stock blade mashing up some sepele would make me cry
  4. Yeah it's actually measured in mm but the shroud on the saw head actually on a pivot so as you bring the saw head down to make a cut, the rear shroud on the head pivots up allowing for a much larger depth of cut.
  5. I've heard a lot of decent things about the Jet but haven't tried it out yet alone even seen one in person. I think @Bremon has a pretty awesome machine. I'm really piqued about that one. Batteries or a DC line? That's just awesome.
  6. I'm not sure what the horsepower of the Kapex is. It's 1600 watts at 13 amps. The reason it's so good is it's ability to act like a 12" miter while being more compact at a 10" equivalent, superior dust collection, precise dial control for the bevels, trenching etc etc etc. I'd bet with Dewalt has more peak power than the Kapex. It's the little things that make the machine so good. Of course the little things are pretty choice
  7. I agree with Rich. My Kapex is the best. But...... $$$$$..$$$$$...$$$$$....so....Dewalt, Makita and Bosch make awesome saws, the Milwaukee is great, the Hitachi SCMS is a great machine too. I really like Dewalt saws. The Bosch axial glide is pretty neat. I am a fan of Makitas SCMS. My only meh...I had a Ridgid 10" CMS and the fence was out of whack since day one. Welcome to the forums too.
  8. Beautiful work Rich, looks fantastic.

  16. never seen these before. And my wife still wants to move to Florida! I think not lady!!!!
  17. Stan, my brother in Florida bought a used one. He loves it. Said it takes about 3-1/2 to fully charge it but running without gas for a while is pretty sweet, especially when he averages well over 30 when running just gas.
  18. My wife keeps telling me to buy Festools!!! I guess I took this to heart early on
  19. Welcome to the forums Will!
  20. I bought an aurio rasp from LN a year or so ago. You should research the rasps, they are made by hand in France and it's a beatiful tool. Thanks for your insight on the shoulder plane, I actually have the Veritas bull nose but I really like the looks of the LN, have been playing this back and forth
  21. I'm in the market for a large shoulder plane and am torn between Lie Nielsen and Veritas. It's hard to beat the quality of LN but I really like the second handle.
  22. Beautiful router plane Rich, I love mine. They are one of the most useful tools in my shop. Super high quality in that plane bro, you'll love it
