  1. Aaron, I don't have a lot of Makita tools but the ones I do own are wonderful tools. I have the brushless barrel grip 18v jigsaw, their new brushless 18v recip, the brushless 18v sander and the new compact impact gun. I've also got the brushless grinder and the 36v chainsaw. Everything that I own that's teal (or black as is my newest acquisition) is well made, well constructed and exceeds all of my expectations. I'm not a big fan of Milwaukee but it's semantics at this point! That new compact gun is awesome! I've been using my 18v jigsaw for the last several weeks and though it ain't my Carvex it's an awesome portable saw.
  2. I had the Fuel and now have the Makita subcompact. It's awesome. The assist mode is friggin phenomenal for touch up work but will drive large fasteners easily. It's light, compact and super comfortable to use. Plus the assist mode is actually quite quiet.

Is this similar to the Bosch system they have fielded in Europe?
  5. Thanks Buddy. It's getting all real down in he-yah!
  6. In addition to the videos... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. While making this project, I was able to shoot the video showing my Festool system at work together. You might notice no dust I also did a quick messy shop overview video...
  8. Got off duty today and my Wife told me I could go down to the shop while she took great care of our now 24" long, 14lb 9oz son! Today saw an actual project (though basic to say the least). My shop is still in progress and in order for me to build and design, I have to build. I got to use my new CT26 dust collector, my TS55REQ, my T18 and CXS. The project, which is already mostly done, my Wife had to take care of the horses so I got some me and Son time (he had a round of shots so isn't too happy right now) so I did not get to finish today. Ends up the complete carcass is done, is a charger and cordless tool station. 36" overall length with a height of 16". I'm not so sure I will add doors, this is something that might not be useful.
  9. Well...fine then. Mr. Glass is HalfEmpty!
  10. And thanks to KC, Ryan you guys kick butt, 2 12" rules. I have needed some straight edge rules for a while and what a crazy price! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Cough....gasp....arghhhh.....is that.....is that.....is that grass?!?!?!?!?!? Looks awesome bro! I hope you don't mind but something like that may end up in the back yard at my house!
  12. I just watched the video. Man, that music makes me want to put my old leotard and cape on and fight some crime
  13. I wish they'd get off their green German butts and make this stuff more readily available here.
  14. Travis, I've had the 15ga finisher for about five or six years. It's a great gun. I have the 20v gun now so don't really use the finisher anymore. It's rock solid, easy to maintain and I've never had a jam with it.
  15. Well....I can't come up with a quip because I love my Festools but love my Dewalt too. I guess it's great that Dewalt is FINALLY trying to be cool like the green machine! Also, that is slick as snot. I have 2 D.C. Units in my shop and my newest one acts as a mobile car for my systainers. How do you like the Dewalt DC unit?
  16. Based on that cutout dude, I would consider a mobile base. I have my Kapex on an mft with Fastcap extension wings. The wings worked perfectly in my shop and allowed me to cut 12' and 14' pieces. It looks like your longer wall would not permit extra long cuts. Going with a mobile base, you could roll your saw further out and attach wings for long cuts. I would have suggested an actual built in station like on Jays YouTube channel but you really need a long wall for that to accommodate bigger pieces. https://www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=57444 There are several options, I have the Kapex one but they actually have one for a permanent station too. They zero out very accurately and you can move and level them anywhere. I have mine set up in the shop now with the intention to eventually to eventually do a built in and use my fences on that set up.
  17. It's like Eric says....Fords suck. And apparently....get stuck. See that? I'm a poet....and I didn't know it!
  18. You guys don't get too much dude?
  19. I sold mine when I got my Sawstop. The 745 is truly an awesome saw. The table expands and is rock solid as is the fence. Beautiful machine and is truly a great saw.
  20. Been there, done that.of course it was in a real car
  21. Well.... I feel for you guys, once that blood warms up it's a real be-hotch when it gets cold!
  22. My mom told me last night they might get down to the 20's tonight in Dunellon!!!!
