    Home Depot

$109 for the Dewalt three box kit on rollers. It was listed at $129 but alas, its cheaper now. I just bought one
  3. Yeah...this is actually a pretty cool post!
  4. I would love to cut the cord. Of course being that unicorns run free in my heart with sleeping beauty lying upon them I know my 20v brad nailer will be here soon. Uh....
  5. I'm not so sure I want one. I have three 5.0s but with my recent acquisition of the 60v circ (thanks Phil!) and the 20v/60v USA made hammer impact kit, I have two 20v/60v 6.0 batteries already and though much taller, the footprint is similar to the standard 20v batteries. I am really interested in getting the sliding miter and the grinder so getting a 20v only 6.0 isn't really something I think I could get the most out of. I can can however see a guy who does not want to get into the 60v lineup buying these. I mean you'd be crazy not to!
  6. That is interesting. I haven't heard of this but....
  7. I call is being a slave to my inner desires. Which as I write this makes me think I'm a sick fu$%.
  8. I'm not sure Travis. I can tell you that each of our sticks have an associate account and for me to use Samantha's I would have to reset the stick. Based on that I would assume so but I don't know if there's a back door around it. I have had a fire stick since they first came out and got mine discounted because I pre bought early. The second one was full price. I imagine you could buy a couple under the same account?
  9. Try the pin nailer. Awesome nailer but for finish it was killing me. It couldn't sink a nail head
  10. I have two, one under Samantha's account and one under mine. But yeah, you have to move the, from tv to tv
  11. I know it hasn't been that long ago but it's funny the prices seem to still be the same.
  12. I love mine too bro. It's awesome. I use it at work all the time. Throw it in the car and can charge my iPad or phone quite well.
  13. How do you like the contractor saw?
  14. I second Mike! I just got Direct TV again when we moved for a year but the last two it was Metflix and Amazon Fire Stick only in the house. It is awesome.
  15. Thanks a lot bro! Absolutely incredible we are home.
  16. Of course why get that when I could get this one....???? https://www.festool.com/Products/Pages/Product-Detail.aspx?pid=561160&name=Compound-mitre-saw-SYMMETRIC-SYM-70-E
  17. And it's available from Amazon UK and with the exchange for a Festool not so bad, like $650ish. Of course you need a converter for power but you can get on for $50. Almost.....almost.....almmmmooooooooost.....
  18. And one more thing bro. Good for your for stepping in an helping this kid out. With my job I see a lot of kids that don't have a positive role model. Seriously, keep up the good work. Lathe work is a ball and scary as hell at the same time but it's fun.
  19. Make sure you stick with Easy Wood and not Rockler. The Easy wood tools feature a flat bar which gives you a register against the tool rest whereas the Rockler tools feature round stock and they don't register in the same fashion. The Rockler tools are decent but the Easywood Tools are just that....easy!
  20. Thanks sir! So...in the photos I have added several new tools to my shop that were not in my original thread. Pictured here, yet still in boxes are the Shop Fox 1-3/4hp bench top mortiser (on par power wise with the Powermatic but seriously....it ain't a Powermatic) and a SuperMax 1.5hp Dust Collector. https://www.amazon.com/Shop-Fox-W1671-Heavy-duty-Mortising/dp/B000J0UTL6 http://www.supermaxtools.com/products/dust-collection/1-12-hp-dust-collector/ These tools and many more planes and other cool things are still in their boxes waiting to be put to good work and well cared for. Not pictured is my Sawstop CNS175TGP36 table saw. That is on the other side of the stairs. I have had great intentions to take this part of my FMLA leave and get hot to work in the shop but my beautiful son is occupying all of my free time but God willing maybe tomorrow or Thursday will see me framing the shop. The outlets are all set to be run. I have a Tekton air hose reel to install in the ceiling alongside some new lighting and perhaps a pull extension cord. Next up for tools? I'm not sure. I'd like another Festool dust collector, perhaps the CT36, I would love the DF700 to go with my DF500 but now that I write this, a dedicated router station with a decent lift would be a nice addition to my shop. I would also like to upgrade my awesome Dewalt planer and maybe add a stationary belt sander (Supermax). Like my last blog on my basement shop.... I hope to keep this one current with updated photos but with Will popping out two months early and spending a month in the NICU with him and my wife, everything else has kind of faded to the back. But Will, my wife and I are home, Christmas is going to be the best I have EVER had and this shop is going full speed ahead! I have many projects to get hopping on and much to learn and expand upon. Including the building of a shed in my back yard and a pole barn for my wife, Samantha, horse...Winters Blizzard. Oh yeah and a quarter acre of timbering. Also new to me is my new IPhone 7+ 256gb and an awesome http://www.cyclopsgear.com/cyclops-gear-cgx2-4k-wi-fi-action-camera/71/ camera I got when I purchased my 2016 CanAm Outlander Max XT, I hope to learn how to shoot videos and start updating my YouTube channel in a somewhat more professional manner and add some useful videos as opposed to stupid unboxing videos with no real useful content. I can tell you that the shop will begin as follows.... Framing. I already possess most of the framing timber needed and sheet goods will be forthcoming. Power. To quote Jermey Clarkson from the (at the time) only good television(currently he is doing the new show with Amazon...Top Gear...."More Powwwwwwerrrrrrr!!!!) I already have the outlets and cable to run power, my shop has been updated with a new 200 amp panel that I am wiring the circuits from. Work Tables. I got rid of my work tables when I moved. I didn't have room to move and store them so they went away. Like the Cookoo bird. Moxon Vise. I posses the hard woods and hardware necessary. Bench. A Roubo or a French designed (God help me.....) work bench. Its quite the process to say the least!
  21. I really like seeing Ryobi stepping up the ante here. They are introducing some fine tools into the market and this actually seems like a really decent drill, like theirs compact 18v.
  22. You know what they say Trevor.....those that cannot do...teach.
  23. Yeah it's pretty funny when it goes right to spam! I'm selling a C15 kit on CL!
