  1. The dream job, a tool rep
  2. After reading this the only thing that went through my mind was 15! WTF I was 41.
  3. NERemodeling makes a good point drywall sucks. I do my own on small jobs but for a full 2 car garage or multi rooms I have a sub come in and do it. They are in and out in no time. Then on the other hand if you like to drive yourself to your limits by all means have at it. One or two things will happen you will like it of hate it.

    Am I wrong

I know that accidents happen how do you think I know about setting a DeWalt impact driver up on the battery pack. If he would have came to me and told me I would have been pissed but I would have let it go but, not to say anything was the part that did me in.

What I left out was he didn't say a word about it when it happened, He did not know that I was watching through the window and he put the chip in his pocket trying to hide it. He finished packing up came outside and told me that he would see me later. Maybe I should have called him out there but I was in shock that he did not give a shit about what just happen.

    Am I wrong

Sometime ago my wife told me that a friend of hers son was going into business for himself doing flat screen installs so if I needed someone I should give him a try. Therefore, last week I was running behind on a kitchen remodel so to save me some time I call the guy to come in and hang the TV. I had the blocking in the wall cable in place so he just had to come in, hang the bracket and TV, and hook it up. Strike one he is two hours late said he be there at 8 am and got there at 10:40 no call. Strike 2 comes in drops his tools on the granite counter top I asked his please not to put his tools on the counter. I put down some large pieces of cardboard and told him if you set your tools down please lay down your impact driver and not to set it up because that DeWalt is top heavy and could fall and chip the counter top. Strike 3 The dam thing falls over and takes a chip out the size of a quarter and he acts like it is no big deal. He finishes the install told me he is running late to his next job, will stop by over the weekend to pick up his check, and hands me a bill for $250.00 and leaves. At that point, I was speechless. I called my counter top guy he comes out and was able to fix it and hands me a bill for $150.00 and of course I pay him for saving my ass. Now the customer comes home and I have to show them what happen. I lucked out they were happy with the repair and could not tell that it had been fixed. Now the real fun part begins. This A-Hole shows up to get paid so I give him 100 bucks and the bill from the counter guy now he is speechless. So I say is there a problem. He goes my bill was 250. I told him I just gave you 250. If you think, I am going to eat 150 bucks for your screw up even after I asked you not to set your tools on the counter top your mistaken. Let me ask you something if you just spent over 20 grand on a new kitchen and somebody comes in and chips your new counter what would you do. You’re lucky the client was ok with the repair or you would be the proud owner of a messed up piece of granite. Now the best part is coming. The guy just looks at me and leaves no big deal. About an hour goes by and my wife’s phone rings and I can tell by the look on her face is WTF. I can hear this guy’s mother yelling at my wife, and when she could get a word in she said just said well all I can say is I don’t give a shit your son screwed up and he has to learn from his mistakes because evidently you didn’t teach him anything. Then she hung the phone up. I just said now do you see why I do things the why I do. So am I wrong for what I did. I feel like the guy is even lucky that I gave 100 bucks cash.
  7. That is a nice box with a nice lay out. I got the bear tool so you get the box it came in and the saw in a plastic bag and why they don't give you the dust extractor nozzle sucks. I did send a email to Milwaukee asking why the overseas version had it and the one in the states didn't. If I get an answer I will post it
  8. I just ordered a 10 pack of blades from OEMPTA I'll see if it was worth the 25 bucks for the Bi-Metal blades. I have had really good luck with the Bosch blades but feel like I'm getting f$*& and not even getting a kiss. I just went through 4 of the Bosch 114C blades doing a hardwood floor repair, those cut nails will destroy a blade.
  9. In building decks I have connected 20 Feet of track together to trim up the ends we let run long.
  10. I was at the JLC Live show this week and picked up the Stiletto 14 OZ. TITANIUM SMOOTH FACE / 16" HYBRID FIBERGLASS HANDLE for $80.00 This is one sweet hammer.
  11. I had the DeWalt track saw and had nothing but problems. Now that was a few years ago when it first came out. I have the Festool The 55 and 75. They are great saws. The advantage the Festool has over the DeWalt is the accessories. The DeWalt has 3 tracks but no way to join them together. The Festool has 9 tracks and you can join a mile of track together if you want along with a bunch of other things. The thing that really sets Festool apart from the others is the dust extraction . DeWalt $470 or the Festool $615
  12. I don't think that has hit the market as of yet and from what I can tell it looks like the Klein adjustable hole cutter and it is for dry wall. You could try but I don't think that it will last long. You best bet is a Bi metal hole saw for plaster and plaster will tear them up.
  13. That is a good deal. They are not the best blades but they do a good job
  14. It must be Jelly cause Jam don't shake like that
  15. Yea I have a lot of red. I was really surprised by the Multi tool I have gotten some good run times with a 4.0 battery I'm very happy with it. I have made my mind up to just have one battery platform. I have been very happy with all of the Milwaukee tools I have gotten I still have some DeWalt tools that I like but Milwaukee will be my got to.
  16. I got the quick lock. I was at the JLC Live Remodeling show today and they had 2 to sell and they both had the conventional chuck.
  17. the worst part is you buy a piece of form the you cut a 3rd or more out. This piece cost $15
  18. Still waiting on the Hole Hawg. I talked to the guys at Tool Nut and they will ship it as soon as they get it.
  19. My wife loves New Hampshire, So coming up that way would be easy but, in the mean time maybe you can make you can make the Festool connect in March 2015 in Rhode Island
  20. Chris you are one lucky Mo Fo. I'm glad that you were able to get the Festool. I was looking today at the list it was very temping but I have spent enough on tools this month. I bought the Milwaukee 18V Fuel 7 1/4" cir saw, 18v Fuel Hole Hawg, 18v Fuel grinder and the 18V Multi-Tool and 2 4.0 Batteries. I need to give it a brake. I have been out looking at new box trailers so I need to start putting money aside for that.
  21. For $60 the collated gun is the way to go. Once you get the hang of using it the job will go a lot faster and easier. It is well worth the money.
  22. Good Idea. I wish that DeWalt would have made a quick disconnect system for this stand like the have for the other miter stand.
  23. It should glide up and down
  24. Check this place out they have good prices in the pick and pluck foam. It is cheaper than fastcap. http://www.foambymail.com/charcoal-pick-and-pluck-foam.html
