  1. Anybody buying tools when they first come out better have the money to burn. Best to wait a little and see how it all shakes out. And trying to stick to one brand looks to be a little shakey too. Good to see companies expanding their lines but hope they don't orphen everything else.

Haven't worked for anybody since 2007 when I quit my aerospace job. I was in aerospace for 25 years. Now I help my girlfriend who has run her own business for the last 19 years. (RCFE) and we have that on the market as we speak. Time to end the "W" word for good.
  3. Is that a "Festool" makeover on some "Gladiator" boxes? Sounds like something I would do.
  4. Broke down yesterday and bought the EGO hedge trimmer. I was waiting for it to go on sale but couldn't wait any longer. Used it on our front yard and it worked great. Really nice to not have to deal with a long extension cord any longer. I'll finish the back yard today. The Milwaukee looks like an interesting tool but can't wait a year for that to come out and no matter the amp hours it's still an 18 volt. Here's some pic's of it's handy work,
  5. You should bring them back to the store with the piece of wood it's stuck in.
  6. Nice video of the knots. Those are all very handy to know.
  7. Sounds like a fun road trip. Nice dog too.
  8. Oh no, that's not going to happen

    Home Depot

Finally got one of those .001 deals at HD, it wasn't much but I really didn't think they were for real. Got a can of sharpening oil that said it was on sale from 5.98 for 1.45 and I thought that was a good deal. When I scanned it it came up at .001! Now I believe it can happen.
  10. Those are great for blowing out tools like Table saw and mitre saw and work benches. Wouldn't use it outside. That's for the EGO blower.
  11. Just going by the question you asked I would say go with the small combo router (DeWalt makes a good one as well) that way you would have a plunge too. You can always get a large one if you want to go with a router table at some point.
  12. You and me both. I'll take a PC any day of the week. It's one thing to have a Apple phone but pay that premium for a MAC? No way.
  13. Going with the EGO hedge trimmer. That's my next buy.
  14. They were never the same after Roebuck left. If you have to ask "who is Roebuck?" then you are way too young.:)
  15. Didn't buy any tools but did buy some wood to finish up a little project in the garage. Sort of a tool.

    Car Tool Kit

All basic hand tools, good quality jumper cables, flash lights, extra batteries, Bungie cords/ ratcheting cables, gloves, first aid kit, knife, that would be the bare minimum.
  17. They have been talking about closing Sears for a few years now. Don't know what's keeping it going at this point. Not Craftsman tools that is for sure.
  18. I have four out door speakers because of the heat and dust factor. The receiver and other electronics are in the cabinet too. Also that is a good reason for not going with really high end stuff. All my stuff has been there for a number of years without any issues so far. I have a 32" TV too. But yeah, dust and heat are a concern but not a lot.
  19. In a garage shop a real stereo is the way to go. At the job site the portable ones work great.
  20. This would be a last resort and might limit your workability.
  21. Forget the roll on. Have the "Line-X" spray on done to the bed of your truck. You won't regret it. You have to have the bed completely free of any contaminates in order for the roll on to come out good and it would be a major mess. Might save a little money buy it won't be anywhere near as good.
  22. Can't beat the EGO brand for weed wackers. If you are going the battery route. Honda gas powered would be and was, my choice for a mower. Heard good things about the EGO mower too but not sure I'm ready for a battery powered mower.

    One key

Don't really get it at this point. Seems like an unnecessary but inevitable upgrade to a tool. If there was no extra cost then ok, I could see it but for now it's not worth the price over a similar tool without it. That's my view of it.
