  1. It's a great saw.. I use mine with 3.0 and 4.0 batteries and it's got plenty of runtime... check out bishoptools on ebay. He is usually the cheapest for new makita stuff. Fast shipping and he is a member of the forum. I think he has that bare tool for 179.. if you wanted the kit just message him on ebay or on here (screen name here is also bishoptools) and I'm sure he could get you a kit.
  2. Thank god for that union fitting!!
  3. I agree with everyone. Ryobi is an excellent value. Buy with confidence.
  4. Just when you think you have seen it all!!!!!
  5. Nice work man, love the look of the shower
  6. Looking good man! Fun project
  7. I have a set of these I bought years ago for a job. They work well and are built like a tank but boy were they pricy.. be careful putting any weight on the corners of the top rungs. Just a little bit of momentum moving outward towards the single leg can cause them to tip.
  8. I always used makita before getting into festool.. my dad has a Dewalt and I really didn't like it. Just felt like it had much less power compared to my makitas. I would say Bosch or makita is your safe bet for ro sanders
  9. Welcome Jeff! Not sure if you can swing it or not but festooned makes some of the nicest, most well built sanders you can buy.. the ets125 is their standard style 5" palm sander but it is probably a little less aggressive then most others.. it's meant to be a fine finish sander. The ro150 is quite a bit more money but will do everything from very aggressive removal to fine finish with its dual modes.. before I got into festool I used makita 5" ro palm sanders and always thought the worked well and held up good
  10. Yeah, I saw them too... hopefully we will see some makita reviews soon!!
  11. Free tools for life!! Now that would be something! Im doing good man, you? It has gotten super busy on here. So much more action than just a month or two ago. It's hard to read and reply to it all.
  12. Looking good man!! It's gotta be such a blast getting all that stuff in the mail! Good for you!
  13. Nice buy. I think an accurate ldm is an essential tool now a days
  14. Damn man!! First off, very nice car and Seconly that is a seriously good time! Nice!! You must have had a ton of work done to that car. Naturally aspirated or super/turbo??
  15. Tell her it will prevent you from having elbow problems as you get older from all the recoil a steel hammer has! Elbow surgery is a lot more expensive than 300.. I have the TiBone 15 and absolutely love that hammer.. the side puller is worth the full cost of the hammer because it just works so damn nice. Also it's one tough hammer. Don't think your gonna have to baby it, I use mine for everything from demo, smacking chunks of concrete off here or there and obviously wood. I also have the 10 Oz wood handle finish hammer and 3 of their pry bars. Their shit is just nice man. Not sure if it's totally worth all the money but they feel great to use and are just baller.. I say go for the tibone, your a framer for crying out loud!!!
  16. Business name is New England Remodeling. NE just shortens it a bit
  17. If your worried about being able to prove they are yours after stolen, the best idea is to open up the plastic case and engrave your name on the inside of the tool.. better chance the their won't see it and scratch it off
  18. I'm in the process of rebuilding a wrap around porch on a house built in 1872.. started ripping the roof today and it went all the way back to the original roof. 4 layers of asphalt and then this crazy coated canvas layer that I have never seen before.. the most recent layer was probably put on around 30 years ago.. it was in rough shape but actually not leaking at all The only time i ever see super built up roofs like that are on house like this. Very old and haven't been touched in decades. What a bitch to rip. Took forever.
  19. Does anyone have any info on the makita? I heard some people got to see it at world of concrete a few months ago
  20. Seriously.. it's been a while that Milwaukee has had theirs out and makitas cordless recips have always been a little crap imo.. it's usually the first and sometimes only tool that I have to plug in during a job. Very frustrating to plug in just for that one tool
  21. Very excited! This thing looks bad to the bone!! Can it de-throne my kapex though?!?! That's gonna be a tough one. Maybe get it for a second saw
  22. Ooh damn!! That's sick! Heard a rumor about a X2 36v BL worm drive circular saw too! Now if they would just hurry up and release a new BL reciprocating saw!
