  1. I remember having usable toy tools as a kid. Little electric screwdriver, tiny saw that would cut balsa wood etc. As for real full size tool.. Hummm that's hard to remember. I would probably say it was a black and Decker drill.. Think it was 12v I got a cheap off brand angle grinder very early on also..
  2. Out of the two tools I sent in last week I got one back today. They sent me a new rotary tool but no word on the multi tool... Hopefully it shows up in a day or two or I'll give them a call.. I wonder why they wouldn't have shipped them both back at once though?!?!
  3. Titanium implant. (Like a knee or hip)
  4. I said earlier that the Bosch carbide is best for anything where you might or definitely will encounter metal but for just clean wood cutting the absolute best hands down blade is the fein e-cut long life blade. This thing is the fastest wood cutting blade I have ever used (they actually do pretty good with nails too but nothing like the Bosch carbide). the fein e-cut long life and the Bosch carbide blades are by far the best blades on the market Don't get me wrong... You made a great purchase by buying the Bosch blades. they will do everything you need them too!!
  5. Seriously. Haha. Running them over with my truck isn't gonna cut it either.. I guess I'll have to accidently drop them in a fire... Errr maybe on second thought that's not such a good idea either!!!! Can anyone say BOOM
  6. Wow! Good stuff man!! I'll be keeping my eyes out for a package
  7. Holy smokes, I feel like I just saw Bigfoot! The mythical Makita BL recip saw really does exist! Pretty cool that both will be BL. That x2 model should be killer! Thanks Korno. You da man . keep us posted if you hear or see anything else
  8. Shoot them a call or email and I'm sure they can give you an update
  9. I actually just sent in a few tools about a week ago also, m12 multi tool and m12 rotary tool both with motor issues.. So I don't have experience yet but also was curious to see how it all went because of the praises they usually get for their warranty service... 1 week seems too fast . you need to likely factor in at least 4 or 5 days of shipping for it to get to them and then back to you. Then the time for them to process and repair it. I would guess it would probably be closer to 2 weeks.
  10. Right!! I've been wanting them to come out with one for a while. I even considered trying to piece together my own but I just don't have that kind of time
  11. Thanks man. Its perfect for me.. Definitely a cool brand.
  12. Now I just need some batteries to die so I can get new ones. I've got a mix of 15. 3 and 4ah so not much need for more. One of my oldest packs is from '09 or '10 and still going strong so I don't imagine they will all start dying anytime soon.. Rats!
  13. By far the longest lasting blade you can buy if your going to encounter any metal is the Bosch/dremel carbide omt blade. Well worth the extra cost up front
  14. The shop is really coming along nicely man! I like what you have done
  15. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome back and kind words! Who's better than the crew..... Nobodyyyyy!!!!! Having been through the accident, getting thrown from my bike, literally flipping through the air then bouncing and tumbling down a road with traffic on both sides it really is a miracle that I walked away in as good of shape as I am in . it could have been so much worse and I'm totally aware of that and so thankful... Like Bmack and turner said, its all too often that things end much worse for motorcycle riders.. At this point I think I'm going to thank my lucky stars and not tempt fait for at least a damn long time.. Myself alone and my wife and I together had so many good rides this summer and made a ton of great memories. There is nothing quite like cruising down a twisty road on a motorcycle but there is just too many idiots out there. Its a shitty reality.
  16. I love my stabilas. Its all I use. I used to go through Stanley's all the time and got sick of never really being able to trust my levels . now I never really think twice when I grab one.. Over the last 5+ years of using them I think I have only had one of my 9 levels end up being out. And the best thing about stabila is their warranty, I just brought it back to the shop I bought it from and they handed me a new one!
  17. Silicone gasket Come on guys... I'm throwing out silicone.. Somebody's gotta go there
  18. Pretty cool. I wonder if they will stagger the release at all or release then at realitively the same time.. As far as specs I was really just digging for any info you might have had. SPM. Stroke length. Features like orbit settings, anti vibe. Rafter hook . led . movable shoe.... That kind of stuff.
  19. Guys.. I have done a lot of business with Tool Nut over the years, mostly off their Festoolproducts.com site.. easily over 10K maybe even up close to 20.. they have always been really good to deal with and very fair. I know most of the guys personally from stopping into the store when im in NY or seeing them at local tool events. They are a good bunch of dudes. I havent been around recently and dont know of any issues that people have been having but i would imagine that it is just normal stuff and totally unintentional on their part. no one can bat 1000 all the time. they have a modest size store and crew of guys, I know there are times when they are having a good sale that they can get backed up a bit and thats totally understandable (its happened to me). they arent some amazon giant that has the capacity to ship thousands of orders a day but from my experiences they stand behind their sales and care about making the customer happy. Hopefully everything gets worked out for any of you having issues
