  1. Whatever you decide, keep the GF for sure!! Go with your gut on the drill. You know what your needs are better than any of us..
  2. Congrats Chris! Can't wait to see the Monsta up and running!! Today was new phone day for me
  3. Haha. Yeah.... I truthfully don't think Milwaukee's quality is as high as everyone thinks it is.. I'm not saying they make bad tools.. They obviously work well when they are working but I have never had two tools crap out on me as quickly as these did (just a little over a year).. They were both purchased at the same time and while I used the multitool a good amount, the rotary tool didn't have much use on it.. Maybe the QC of their manufacturer just isn't as high as others The warranty and service is great though so it definetly helps you turn a blind eye to the issues..
  4. I do have a super old recip that I will try to put a 4ah on today. Truth be told I don't ever use it because it sucks so much so I wouldnt have known about the issue.. I have a radio that is at least 6 or 7 years old that takes 4ah. I will check my grinder too but ever since I got a few of the BL models the old one just sits in my garage unused.. I have 10 3ah (8 in use and two brand new still in the pack) and 5 4ah that are in use, mixed with the 3ah. So chances are more likely I'm grabbing a 3ah and maybe I have just always gotten lucky.. There is a way the tool (maybe the pack) can be modified to work with all batteries but they are probably doing it so that the older tools without star protection won't over discharge and kill the new batteries.. Modify at your own risk I guess..
  5. Topnote/onestools whoever you are.... Stop trying to take us as fools and if you want to introduce your company, LUMU, then just do it openly honestly. We aren't idiots, the way you are commenting now is honestly doing more harm than good to your business.
  6. Is it just me or does anyone else think that "topnote" and onetools" are actually the same person? Its strange that that topnote joins the forum with a lumu avatar and only ever posts about lumu tools.. Like he is lumu:s biggest fan.. Then just a few days later onetools magically finds the post and joins the forum to answer all of topnote's questions or just support the brand.. They both have the exact same awful English, the same that is found on the lumu website and lumu's YouTube posts Also top note always starts the topic and then once onetools starts to comment we never hear from topnote again... The whole thing is very fishy....
  7. They have a product that looks like a Clone of the hackzall..
  8. --- merged so this post is no longer relevant--- To totally get rid of it I think a moderator would have to delete it. If you had an idea for another post you could also go into edit this one and just change the title and your first post to something new.
  9. They upped their warranty to 3 years on all lxt tools and batteries.. I dont think any compatibility your talking about is as big of an issue as you think.. I currently have about 30 Makita tools, radios and lights with some of them being 7 years old and some of them brand new top end models. Also my battery packs are 3.0 ad 4.0 ranging in age from 2010-2015 and as far as I know I don't have a single incompatable tool or battery..
  10. I used to use a plane Jane Bosch 1" bits, no special impact rating or anything.. They had 25pks at Lowes if I remember. They held up surprisingly well, much better than all other brands I had used at the time. now I buy mostly Makita Gold usually just from home depot and they are great!
  11. I personally wear Salomon X ultra mid 2 gtx hiking boots and love them.. However I don't have anyone requiring me to have insulated or steel toe footwear.. Maybe look into Keen work boots, I have only ever heard good things about them
  12. So the rotary tool showed up Thursday as I said and today, Monday the multi tool was waiting for me when I got home!! Brand spankin new baby Two broken tools sent in with provided pre paid labels and within a week - week and a half I had two brand new replacements in hand!! I'm very happy with that
  13. Yeah, before I got into the carbide blades literally or two screws would destroy any blade and it would take forever to get through a screw if it even made it at all.. The carbides just eat them up like they aren't even there!!
  14. Seriously!! It's all cartoonish plastic crap now a days that you would never in a million years be able to actually use.. Its a shame.. I had so much fun with my little tools. I've gotta go dig through the closets/basement/attic at my parents and see if I can find any of them . that would be sweet!
  15. Cool . Just thought I would toss it out there in case you haven't thought of it Looks like its really coming along nicely
  16. Umm. Yeah.... I don't think anyone from America wrote that but it wouldn't be the craziest thing I have ever seen!! Haha
  17. Makita takes first in my book really because of the size if their 18v lineup, 36v tools that use 2 18v batteries (more power without needing to buy into a new battery platform) and just overall high quality bulletproof tools.. but Milwaukee is right behind especially in something like their top end cordless drills. The two are essentially identical.
  18. I don't use a chainsaw often and honestly never even thought about doing this.. Thanks for posting! Very good tip
  19. Sweet!! Glad I could help man!! Make sure to let me know if you go with it. That would be awesome.
  20. Hahahaha. I used to love that cartoon!!! NARF!!!
  21. Wear a nice red polo or button down with your name embroidered on it to meet potential customers... They won't forget that!!
  22. What about Red Woodworking?! Sort of plays off both the Redwood tree and red wine Also, "Woodworking" instead of "work shop" is much more specific and professional sounding yet doesn't tie you into one specific type of carpentry which gives you flexibility in the type if work you can do and might invite more people to call you wondering if you will do the type if work they need and you can decide. we all know.. More calls more money!! Haha
  23. Well no need to stress anymore! It came out great.. Often we are our own biggest critic and usually for no good reason!! Tile saws are fun machines. Sounds like you got to use a nice one which probably made the job much easier!
