I think this may be why DeWalt started with batteries to test the market. It's a very small niche market.

@BigMikeZ - I jumped on it! I got the email from DeWalt @ 6:36p CST, checked pricing and availability, checked to see how many carrier brackets they came with, tried a few combinations of discounts and shipping to find the best per unit price and had my orders placed at 7:05p CST. Initial indication is that they ship Monday. We shall see. Wouldn't be the first time an online vendor has lied about availability.

Keep an eye on the price for 30 days. You may be able to go get a price adjustment if it drops again. [emoji6]

Yes sir! They lock in very well. I had my rack in my trailer and they worked fine. The handles are spring loaded and lock over taps to hold them in.

I've been watching these in Houston for 6 months. They haven't dropped a penny. Been yellow stickered forever!

I spoke with a rep that said this is the new retail price. It should stay at $599 for a while.

There is some cross compatibility with SDS & SDS PLUS. But not SDS Max.

I believe the 1" capacity refers to the diameter of bit it will drive. I have the previous, brushed version and drilled up to 3/4" holes. It is the standard SDS bits.

DeWalt. It's compatible with the Festool tracks and track accessories.
