  1. TStak is a nicer workshop box, ToughSystem allows extra room for a drill, impact, etc. I store my tools in my basement, most of my projects take place either outside, the garage, or taking various tools to work. ToughSystem means I can toss them in the box of my truck, not buy a tonneau cover, and not worry about weather. The main important aspect of a modular system for me is organization; I get exactly what I need for a task and don't have to reorganize boxes, I can stack my gear for a compact footprint, and it keeps my storage and work areas cleaner. Cleanliness is next to godliness after all lol.

Well big fans of big fans still need to buy teal it seems but I won't know if I'm a big fan of this little fan until I know how the CFM compares to my Milwaukee, which is a little fan that I'm not a big fan of.
  3. @framer do you prefer bags or just a pile of tools rolling around the box of your truck?
  4. Likely no worse than a dirty tough box, tstak or Systainer ?

Wow that deserves more than one "like" @Lmc!
  6. It's a blessing and a curse lol, measuring saw cuts, especially band saw, its great having a magnet to stick to the blade. Every second cut I need to wipe off the shavings or my cut is out a /16th though lol. Thin nitrile dipped gloves are infinitely more valuable to me, working with various solvents as well as burrs on steel, etc. all fingerless will do for me is get me hurt. for cleaner work they'd be quite nice. I've been on a large number of commercial sites who want full coverage with gloves though.
  7. Little cheaper than the other new yellow tool for electricians; $1400 cable cutter DCE155 lol.

    Sub Compact

10.8/12v are considered sub compact systems. Makita making subcompact 18v was what was notable.
  9. 199 CAD @JimboS1ice. Probably 150-160 USD.
  10. Closes fine, there's room for a tape measure, couple batteries and whatever else you would want that's task specific to cutting with a circ saw

    Timbers etc. I would assume.
  12. Been on a bit of a spending spree...found a nice deal on some 20v Max XR 6.0 batteries. Now a pair of DCB206 are on their way to me. Batteries are officially off the shopping list now ?
  13. Off the top of my head, probably the fan. It's ok but it's pretty mediocre with worse CFM than the competition and a higher price. The M12 Bluetooth speaker...looks good but sounds like a $20 speaker.

Atlas has it in the new products page. Not interested but usually we are on top of what's coming out lol.

Was the DCCS620 previously known about? It's news to me. 12" compact 20v Max brushless chainsaw. *shrug*
  16. I agree with @jkeating3, my only DS400 is for nailers. I may get one at some point for hand tools or something, but the DS400 is 100mm taller than the DS300; 4 inches. It takes up more space in a stack, a truck, a van, a shed, etc. I try to be as lean as possible with my boxes; planning what's going in well before buying them lol. DS300 is perfect for a saw I feel.
  17. I keep mine in a DS300 with a rip fence, speed square, vac attachment, and another half a dozen blade. Only difference between it in a 300 and 400 is a tray above the saw that does very little for me; there's already room around the saw for accessories.
  18. Imagine if they were made in Western Europe or America...price would be astronomical like Pelican. Instead we get to save money on the backs of Israelis like basically every other storage system.

NPS17 was reasonable for plumbers, electricians etc. To an extent trim guys as well. It was mostly upgrades to things that were long in the tooth. No response to FlexVolt. I expect the Dewalt event to impress me more than NPS17 (and NPS17 impressed me slightly more than I expected it to).
  20. Probably needs a bigger nitrogen canister that makes the gun even more front heavy. Not sure.

@Jronman the OEMs (Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony) optimize the batteries to get more mAh in the same size batteries. Using M18 XC packs as an example, they changed from 1500 mAh, to 2000mAh cells (hence the 4.0), then 2500mAh for 5.0 and now 3000mAh for 6.0 (another row of cells for the 9.0). That form factor is maxed out now, whereas 3000 mAh 20700 cells in the Core/ XR 20v Max/ 3.0/9.0 FlexVolt/ LiHD are basically first gen cells. What the original 1500mAh cells in M18 XC were. They'll be able to increase to 4000mAh, maybe 5000mAh in the same size cell, meaning we can get 12.0 or 15.0 batteries eventually in the same size battery pack as the FlexVolt 3.0/9.0, 8.0 or 10.0 Core and XR20v Max packs ?
  22. M12 Stapler is brushed @FrosBros82, which isn't too bad. Even the M18 cut out tool is brushed and that thing works way harder than a stapler.

The bigger the fastener the worse impulse is @Framer joe, more for 3" wood screws and smaller. Maybe they could change the anvil design like the hitachi triple hammer though? I really don't know. I'm always turning other guys impacts down to #2 at work like @Biggie said, if some of the guys leave it on speed 3 the screws get sunk halfway through the 2x ?
