Enjoyable video! Certainly not a moron lol great sense of humour though. I can see potential with the connectivity system but it's not quite there for me yet. The cut brake on the Sawzall seems best to me but could be implemented as an "always on" feature on an updated None-Key version too. We'll see what the future holds. One thing's for certain; tools these days sure aren't what grandpa used!

Painting at work for a few days which involves pretty much 0 enjoyable tools. Luckily I got to come home and scratch a few things off the honey-do list which involved a pile of things but a triad of German happiness had me grinning; some Knipex (X-cut, pliers wrench and combination pliers), Wera screwdrivers and a pair of Stabila levels. That stuff is so high quality that it's happy-factor is more or less in power tool territory ?.

That's because it has more cells to draw power from, so you don't experience voltage drop when it's put under a heavier load. Both versions of 6.0 improve greatly on the 5.0 in that regard.

That's a rant alright, up until Starlock came out the XR was considered one of the top multitools ?, cuts nails, screws, etc. quickly and easily. Not bad for a "toy".

15 cells vs 10 cells of the same size cells 6.0 flex vs 5.0. The 2000 mah have higher peak discharge I think as well. The cells in the xr6.0 are far more efficient than the ones in the flex 6.0 and 20v 5.0 and have high discharge. 10 2500 mAh 18650 cells vs 15 2000 mAh 18650 cells vs 10 3000 mAh 20700 cells My XR6.0 haven't shipped yet so I'll test them out on my 692 when they get here.

FlexVolt 2.0/6.0 uses 2000 mAh 18650, same size cells as a 3.0/4.0/5.0.

They're shorter, less expensive, and half a pound lighter weight. All things I care about on a 20v Max tool. Meanwhile the 3.0/9.0 isn't too much more expensive than the 2.0/6.0 and gets about twice the runtime for a bit more weight on big beefy tools where weight differences aren't as noticeable. The XR6.0 is more efficient than the FlexVolt 6.0 as well despite fewer cells.

It's a 575 with a different motor isn't it? The same depth of cut and bevel aren't too surprising, but are nice.

The M18 power source is 2.1 amp and I much prefer it to the M12. I'd wait until the trickle charge M12 comes out.

6.0 XR is preferable to 6.0 FlexVolt imo. I sold all my 6.0 FlexVolt.

Not really, but a picture of a Dewalt FlexVolt rear handle saw leaked and some wiser people than me had said Q4 of this year. I'd bet money we will see it formally announced at the media event in August.

The pitiful dust collection and the deflection in the "rail under" design are th two biggest flaws you'll read in reviews and user feedback. Oh, and that it loves to stall on bevel cuts. The dust chute on the 7.25" is basically non-existent, instead of a long chute it goes straight into a bag or hose attachment. Much better I would guess.

Hopefully you guys realize the gaskets are friction fit and can be pulled out and adjusted. I have a few boxes that aren't tight but the two I have in my truck tool box for years are dust free inside, while the rest of the truck box gets a pile of dust on everything.

Wait I would guess 6 months @framer, if you like Makitas you'll like Dewalt's.

The 693 metal connector nailer has been out for somewhere in the vicinity of a year, no? The 692 framer, 660 16 gauge are pictured, as well as the 680 18 gauge, the 681 stapler, 682 flooring stapler, and 650 15 gauge. The last 4 are due out soon, September in Canada. Not pictured are the concrete nailer and the 16 straight, maybe we will see them again in August?

Pretty sure that's the one he's referring to, and it kicks ass, especially the updated one with more lumens that fits a 9.0.

Because it's a tiny bar, and this opens it up to the largest volume of Dewalt's user base.
