great write up, everything in one place.

Yeah our local HD had a Pro event last week, they had the Diablo blades out for sale and I snagged a couple. Haven't used them yet, but two for $10, thought they were worth a try.

You're right I do need to look into Prime, I'm sure we would get our money's worth. Thanks, john

I saw that today as well, building the suspense for the big day!
-
great idea, I will start to check Amazon out. I didn't think of that because of the size and shipping.

Great suggestions and thanks for the links. I will take a look at them. We bought a Gladiator work bench at Sears on sale and the wife wants to buy the track system and cabinets. I'm with you guys, I don't want cabinets, things get put in them and get forgotten about. I'm thinking the french cleat system might work, I did that to a couple of other cabinets before I knew they were called french cleats! Thanks, John

I have an 8' section of wall that I'm looking to utilize for tools, shelves, etc. I already have peg board on another 8' section, so I'm looking for suggestions on doing something different on the new section. The wife would like to see a couple of cabinets and I'm thinking of some type of buckets to put bolts/nails/screws in. Any experience with the plastic systems or do it yourself systems? John

I'm all for using competitors coupons and taking advantage of deals and asking that a store honors an advertised deal on something that isn't explicitly spelled out. But, isn't buying something with the intent to get a discount on something else, then returning the first item and not giving the discount back getting close to stepping over the line? I mean I can go along with it if you truly don't like the first item and you only do it once, but doing it repeatedly in order to game the system, I can't say that I agree with that. Not trying to be a kill joy or the morality police, but I'm sure there are folks from manufactures and stores that read these forums.......... John

Hot deal on Honda Lawn mower $399 save 200 over normal price
DiverDn replied to DR99's topic in Tool Deals
I have the non electric start model and it is kick a$$. It is hands down the best cutting mower that I have ever used. Took me a little while to get used to the letting go of the handle that engages the drive wheels, but I don't even think about it anymore and just let go when I want to stop or turn around. -
I'm looking for saw blades, 12" and 7.25" circular.
-
I gave my local Lowes a look today as well, no 20v, but they did have the 40v at $20 off.
-
If I needed a new splitting maul, I would buy this one.

I went to the local HD today and noticed that the Milwaukee organizer has had a price reduction. I'm not sure if its permanent or a temporary decline. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-10-Compartment-Deep-Pro-Organizer-Red-225046/205847797

Where do you get those prices is all I have to say?
-
Yes it looks like that, I've had the saw for a lot of years, just haven't had a chance to use it much lately. Yeah, I'm thinking a new blade is a better option..... I will take a look at the Diablo Ultra Finish, that will most likely cure the problem. Thanks

Milwaukee is awesome..another customer service testimonial
DiverDn replied to Maxwell Tyler Ray's topic in Milwaukee
I've had great luck with their customer service, they converted me! -
The blade I have is an old 100 tooth and I'm sure it's dull because the name is worn off of it. I had the blade depth set to just a little more than the thickness of the material, so I don't think that's the problem. I will check out the diablo, I think I've seen them in Home Depot. Thanks

I'm using my Skil worm drive saw to rip 5/8" plywood and it's leaving a rough cut. What blade would you recommend for plywood? Thanks, John

Has anyone bought this combo? I'm wondering if they cut any corners on the quality of the vise. Special edition at $150 for both. Part number 11128BH
-
Yep, the finally showed up at my local CostCo at $299.
-
Sweet, good deal.
-
I've started to see them at a couple of local stores. So there is some in the supply chain.
-
I'm further north so I guess they want to get them out there before the snow flys. They had both on display, didn't try them on, but they looked well made.

I have noticed that Home Depot has the Milwaukee heated gear on display. I saw it today 8/28/15. Hoodie and jacket, no vest that I saw.

I went back the next day to buy another set for Christmas presents and "Surprise" they were all gone. Guess I have to be more decisive on good deals. John
