  1. As mentioned, below are some links that I use, will add more has I remember them. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forum - Friendly forum like here at TIA - Also has a ton of videos in the Village University http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com - Huge Pattern Library, also has some on-line software to make name plate and keychain name patterns. There is a forum there, but I am not fond of the style, the folks are friendly though. https://mikesworkshop.com/collections/blades - Best blade around, I mostly use UR #5 and UR #3 and the puzzle blades. I just received some spiral blades that allow you to cut in any direction, but have not tried them yet. http://www.vectorportal.com - One of the many places to find vector graphics http://www.intarsia.net/e-book/Intarsia101.htm - If you want to have a try at Intarsia, which is my favorite. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/wiki/index.php?title=Software - List of software for pattern design On YouTube, check out Gwinnett Woodworkers Scrollsawing Playlist, and other woodworking videos.
  2. Great Idea Jimbo! I have the DeWalt 788, it's considered by many scrollers, the best saw for the price, because the next step up, an Excalibur is 2x the money. I been scrolling for about 10 years, I mostly make name plates, intarsia, toys, and puzzles. I will put together a list of useful links, and post them here.
  3. What Scroll Saw did you get?

Check out Flying Dutchman blades, https://mikesworkshop.com/collections/blades  I mostly use the UltraReverse #5 and #3 https://mikesworkshop.com/collections/blades/products/ultra-reverse

Check out the Scroll Saw Village - Great folks there, just like here at TIA http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forum

I have a zip file, with about 65 assorted Scroll Saw books, if you your interested let me know, and I will send you a link to download them.

  4. I am going to see if my store has this WD-40 deal, my boy works at Lowes, so I believe it would be like $5. If so, I will buy all they have lol.
  5. Darn it, I was at a community garage sale, and a guy had few in a box with other miscellaneous rusted tools. I almost bought them, I think they do it once a month, I will keep an eye out.
  6. Whoa, you bought a scroll saw Jimbo? If so, hit me up, I can hook you up.
  7. I would like to recommend the Harbor Freight one. Has long as you do a good cleaning after each use, it should last a long time. I was actually surprised by the build quality. I have the purple(wish) one, and have done a few projects without any issues. My thought on buying that particular one, it can be used has a "training tool" before spending big bucks on a professional one.
  8. I thought political discussions were not allowed here at TIA.. LOL ....This comment was meant has a friendly stab at being funny
  9. Beaver Cleaver ... I got nothing lol
  10. Like the new intro! Thank You for putting the comparison together.
  11. Both lol.. 16, 18, and a 23.. oh and one of those multi staplers
  12. I made a trip to the pharmacy, and they have a "As Seen on TV" section. They have 3 versions of this hose. Pocket Hose, Pocket Hose II, and Pocket Hose "Tough Brass II". The first 2 have cheap plastic connectors, and flimsy feeling hose materials. They cost $9.99. Now, the "Tough Brass II" model, feels heavy duty, with brass connectors, and a thicker feeling hose material, and the cost is $19.99. The wife was asking about it, thus I started this thread. So I might get the tough brass version, just to do a review. But I am thinking we will ultimately go with the other suggestion of the Craftsman.
  13. Dang, thats one sweet deal for sure! You can barley purchase a set of bench dogs for that price.
  14. I remember in a video they mentioned moving it to the end of year and have a super duper UTB.
  15. No need to be sorry bud, happy 4th. now back to our regular scheduled fun thread.
  16. Did I or you get the 5000? Anyway, this is one epic thread!
  17. The 4th is my favorite holiday, I jokingly say, it's my Christmas lol. It's also the time I take my 2 week vacation, in which for one of the weeks I do absolutely nothing! Happy 4th to the crew!
