  1. @muddychip yeah NA is North America. Canada and the United States tend to have different tool releases/kits than other parts of the world so I just refer to us as NA. I found this. Hit System Case. Should be the same box system you mentioned coming with the triple hammer. I thought I seen one in @dwain's video. I tried finding this online but couldn't even find it on Hitachi's United States website. I managed to find a listing on the New Zealand website and the rest of the listings were in German I think. Looks very similar to the Makpacs. I would've thought modular storage would be bigger around here but its not. Some may have stackable organizers but they have been around for years. Just about anyone around here would know what a Stanley stackable organizer is. Other than at tool stores and the 2 boxes I got, I have only seen one tough system in the wild that I can remember and a couple of the Ridgid(AEG) Pro Boxes.

  3. They seem like fast nailers. Never seen one in person. Far as I know they sink nails well. I thought I heard they were unreliable but i could be mistaken. Maybe the issue has been fixed.
  4. @muddychip Oh yeah I've seen those. They are compatible with Systainers. We hardly ever get stuff in tstacks over in N.A. Mostly bags come with kits. I think makita is just bags as well. Sometimes a single tool kit will come in a blow molded case. On the rare ocasion we may get a special deal that comes with a tstack. Did I see Hitachi's modular boxes are Makpacs but with different color scheme? I really like modular cases and wouldn't mind getting them in kits instead of bags. I'd be willing to pay a premium if kits came in tough boxes. 10 extra bux to swap out the bag for a ds130 would be a no brainer.
  5. how does one win a game of poker?
  6. may I suggest trying a modular system? Whether it be Ridgid boxes, tough system, systainers, l-boxx, etc.
  7. channel lock and knipex? One step closer to universal batteries.

  10. I heard Bosch is going to continue the fight or at least attempted. There was some deadline that was approaching for submitting something to reopen the case. Not sure if Bosch made the deadline.
  11. @rrich1 how do you like your Grrr-iper? Looks like the blades cleaned up nicely.
  12. @KnarlyCarl maybe there is a display somewhere of this rack or do you know someone who has the rack? Seeing one in person may be the deciding factor on whether you get one or not. You would get to see how sturdy the brackets are and whatnot.
  13. maybe to replace the hydraulic housing is more hassle than its worth?
  14. the brackets for the cart are the durable brackets. the "weaker" brackets come with the wall system. As far as I know the durable brackets can be purchased by themselves. I have no idea if the weaker brackets can be purchased by themselves. I would ask someone more knowledgeable than myself in tough system brackets to see if they know anything about which brackets are still being sold. found this by @RickyMcGrath
  15. Time to figure up a bill. Going to attempt to make my own bill of materials similar to what my school had. Eventually it may include a logo idea I had. Hopefully a friend of mine will be interested in making the logo. Ideally I will just be able to type in the values and the spreadsheet will be able to do all the figuring for me. Will be tricky to implement but once setup it should be fairly easy to record new entries into the spreadsheet.
  16. nice find. I got to hold a flexvolt circ saw yesterday and noticed it had a different safety button than the 20v circ saw. Makes you push to the side instead of down. An interesting change.

    DS400 New

I am looking for a good deal on a DS400 new. Hoping to use it to hold my hand tools. I am wanting to replace the Stanley box they are kept in because it is not compatible with tough system.
  18. maybe October for the NA guys?
  19. Sounds like you'll have a good time @ChrisK I doubt many in my area experience something like this. Would be fun to experience a tool show. I would have to go out of state. Nebraska is just one of those states. Not much comes to Nebraska.
  20. The last one on the how to use the weather rock sign is funny. Looks like you had a great time.
  21. looks like a 4.0 and a compact come with this kit. Looks like a nice combo kit.
  22. If it is having issues due to wear and tear, the warranty states it isn't covered. If it is a manufacturer defect, the warranty states it is covered. I don't know how much HD or other stores follow the "limited" part of the limited warranty but I'm sure it wont hurt to at least have it looked at.
