  1. what would you like DeWALT to come out with next for Tough System? Maybe something you have seen on a competitor system or something new?
  2. what would you like Milwaukee to come out with next for Packout? Maybe something you have seen on a competitor system or something new?
  3. vac clam pump half off on recon. Originally $825.00 Now $412.50.
  4. @dwain have you tried Metabo's new monster? or is it even out yet? The drill is supposed to have something like 1200 in/lbs of torque. Not sure what it is in Nm
  5. First time hearing about this company. Do they focus more on the pro or the homeowner?
  6. @Toolman Tim maybe the side handles are enough?

tool nut is also doing a similar deal for the DeWALT for $500. you get the t1 kit and a free 9.0 battery. not as good of a deal but still better than nothing.
  8. haha classic. the pickup has different colored tailgate than side panels. I wonder if the doors and hood are a different color too?
  9. Before SB&D bought Irwin, DeWALT had some clamps so I'm not real sure if these are rebrands. They did look very similar to Irwin's. I wouldn't be surprised if DeWALT hired Irwin to make them. I did find a store that sells both and there are a few differences. The jaw pads on the DeWALT have 2 groves in a plus pattern where the Irwin clamps have no grooves. The release button to move the fixed jaw to the spreader position is a bit different between the 2 brands. Other than that they are pretty similar. Quality seemed similar between the 2 brands. I went with a couple DeWALTs myself because they were priced cheaper.
  10. I have used another much cheaper fully adjustable China built jig that has similarities to the true position when I was in school so it isn't my first time using a jig like this. The Chinese jig at school was actually half decent. I looked it up and for around $40 you get full metal, one hole guide with 3 different holes for standard widths and another hole guide you can adjust for wider pulls, and 2 edge stops to set how far from each edge you want to drill. Adjusting was done with hex wrenches and there was no scale. The true position is much better in my opinion. True Position touts that they designed their jig to be a true wood jig replacement for installing pulls and knobs. I agree 100%. I have only used it on 2 pulls. Not too much use yet but so far I am impressed. It is Woodpecker One-Time Tool quality if you ask me. Once you figure it out it is easy to use and adjust. It is nice because it doesn't require hex wrenches to adjust. This is nice because you don't have to go searching for the right sized wrench. It may be expensive but worth the price in my opinion. Unless there is some specialty machine for drilling holes for cabinet pulls/knobs, this is the best option out there. You can even get a version for drilling adjustable shelving holes. Another nice thing is this includes a scale with very easy to read markings. Many jigs I have seen don't include a scale or even a center mark. I hope this helps.
  11. worst year ever recorded they say.

@rrich1 tool nut is doing a deal where if you buy the cordless kit which comes with 2 macpacs, a dual fast charger, and 2 5.0 batteries they will throw in an extra 2 5.0 batteries and a rail for free. The deal goes for $500.
  13. will this mean irwin will be getting rid of its clamps or will they continue to make them? Many of the clamps DeWALT makes are basically same design as Irwin clamps.
  14. Got these at Builders today. The new XP tape from DeWALT, some concrete screws with a free bit too, a Milwaukee 5 piece masonry bit set, a Do it Best branded wire crimper/striper/screw cutter so I can cut cabinet pull/knob screws and a box of 1/4x2 lags. Gonna use some of this stuff to instal 2 tough system racks. No impressed with the crimping tool. The quality isn't there. The cutting portion is pained black which I am not a big fan of. I don't wanna give the "made in China" excuse for bad quality since not everything made in China is bad but these are made in China. Not sure if I want to return them or keep them. I had a guy help me find the right concrete screws and felt like I had excellent service.
  15. Trains are awesome. Sometimes I go out of my way to get stopped by a train just to watch it go by.
  16. My parents got me a heated m12 jacket
  17. @Yannis cool. Would be cool to see the model railroad.
  18. I have DeWALT 20v and 60v and some EGO. I have tried sticking with very few battery platforms which has worked so far. I could have stuck with DeWALT for OPE but I felt EGO was the better choice in the long run. All my woodworking and work tools I can get with DeWALT and all my OPE I can get with EGO. My parents wanted to get me a heated jacket and I found a deal on an m12 jacket so I will be an m12 owner soon. I hope to get the m12 stapler as well. I am trying to avoid anymore platforms but Festool cordless is calling my name in both their normal 18v and sander batteries. I try to avoid corded tools.
  19. Are you choosing Tool Connect over One Key?
  20. My Festool OF1400 is the best power tool I got this year. The Flexvolt tracksaw and the Rotex 150 were runners up. The best handtool I got this year is the Festool guide rails. Runners up are the True Position cabinet pull/knob jig and my 2' DeWALT trigger clamps were runners up. The best tools I got this year that I haven't used are the Tough System wall rack. The TSOProducts GRS-16 guide rail square and the Festool LR-32 hole drilling kit are runners up. The best OPE I got this year was the EGO blower. Runner up is the EGO Hedge trimmer and Flexvolt reciprocating saw when paired with a pruning blade.
  21. would be cool if ours came with a tstak
