    Mmm. Huh ?

coolness factor, repetitive tasks, and maybe some cost savings? I would think in the case of the one key recip saw that it would save a guy cutting metal pipe all day money by determining the most efficient settings to cut the metal to extend blade life and reduce time it takes to cut the metal.
  2. I live in a small town. I find people are more welcoming in small town. The same is true with local lumberyard and the hardware store. They have excellent service. As an example the other day I went to go buy a piece of plywood and they had just closed the register but said come back tomorrow to pay for it. I would not expect the same thing to happen in a large city. The nearest city of size has good service but not excellent. Generally in my area people are more friendly and willing to help than a large metro area. There are always exceptions though.
  3. no but I thought I seen a new nailer from STAFDA coverage. Maybe 18g?

    Mmm. Huh ?

no idea if there is a difference but can't wait to try smart tools out. I can't wait till every tool is smart.
  5. This guy arrived today... and a couple cabinet pulls. Interestingly enough the cabinet pull actually came with long screws. So many times you buy cabinet pulls and the provided screws are too short. The GRS-16 has 4 threaded screw holes not sure why. Curious if they are for anything. Anyone know? Would seem like wasted work to drill and tap 4 screw holes if they are to be used for nothing. There was a thankyou note in the box for buying the GRS-16 and it had some interesting info. During the manufacturing process the squares are not color matched which means no two squares are the same color.
  6. Could just MacGyver it. haha but in seriousness replacing sounds like a good option.
  7. @Tug how many rotary hammers do you have now.
  8. I haven't tried price matching before but could be worth a try. Never heard about it working between online to online but I think going to a physical store and showing an online deal works in some cases.
  9. Factory authorized outlet has a 2 battery m12 brushed hackzall kit for 70% off. going for $89 from $294
  10. Toolnut has a Makita deal where you get the XT268T 2 5.0 battery brushless impact and drill kit a free 6.0 battery, and one free 18v bare tool of choice for $399. The choices are a recip saw, OMT, circ saw, or the new router. Seems like a decent deal. Regular price for the kit is $429 without the free stuff.
  11. Got the True Position TP-1934 cabinet hardware jig ordered today.
  12. @Bremon it has a water feature they didn't talk much about it. Don't know if it is self priming or how it works. From the picture it appears to be the same size as a hose bib connection so I would guess you could hook up a water hose. I don't know enough about them to know how the water feature works. Not sure about dust collection but if I remember correctly to meet table 1 requirements all you gotta have for this saw is a water delivery system to the blade and should be used outside or you can use inside but gotta use a dust mask in addition to the water system. 12 in blade is news to me. I thought the same as @justinkendall 9in blade.
  13. Not sure. I like the extra power but the speed control needs some work in my opinion. Looks compact too.
  14. It is also brushless, 12 speed via a dial, plus a mode similar to Makita tek mode.
  15. should be able to run off of a hose bib? Also could try a 5 gallon bucket.
  16. Hitachi and Metabo have designed a new Metabo triple hammer impact and supposedly it is not a rebrand Hitachi either. It's supposed to be better than the Hitachi version. It will be built in Germany and use a Japanese built triple hammer motor.
  17. Gen 2 blower coming haven't looked into it much. Not sure if it was at STAFDA or not. More power and a speed button like the string trimmer.
  18. So only new DeWALT items were the flex concrete saw and the tstak radio?
  19. CXS kit up for grabs dropped to $228
  20. @Framer joe the water cools the blade and reduces dust. It is a replacement for a dust extractor in some cases.
  21. correct your up Brand of bits are Wiha
  22. looks as though the van racks are on DeWALT's website now and listed as coming soon. Still no sign of the new drawer units.
  23. these the kind of deals you find only in store? Will there be any that apply to online as well?
  24. Wiha has come out with new bits. What new feature do they include?
