  1. maybe u means bluetooth enabled?
  2. one for compact battery one for the new 6.0? Maybe the h means hybrid tool or high capacity battery(6.0) Maybe u indicates subcompact tool.
  3. The demo demo amped blades came out last year but I think the 6.5 in versions are new this year.
  4. Bought a GRS-16 square for my festool guide rails. The updated model. I'm also planning to get a True Position TP-1934 cabinet hardware jig. Both are expensive but hopefully worth it in the long run.
  5. flex concrete saw unveiled. 9 in blade. Will also be able to dispense water.
  6. He had a machine designed to test oil and the Shaeffer products heated up less, made zero to no squealing like the other guys made. I even tried out the cleaner cause I got grease on my hand and it was legit. cleaned it with ease and no pumice required.
  7. apparently 20 new Makita tools at STAFDA. Theres a new 12 in sliding miter based off the new 10 in miter, bluetooth vacs, a 16 g 18v nailer, subcompact impact wrench with special bolt/nut mode, and a 6.5 in non sliding miter. Bosch has also come out with a new green laser. Rolair has a compressor systainer and it appears to be coming to north america. $475 usd The new Diablo demo cic saw blades are impressive. They not only cut nail embedded wood they cut lag bolt imbedded wood. cut a piece with 80 lag bolts with ease. @Framer joe DeWALT HAS A NEW FLEX SAW!!! MORE POWA!!. handheld concrete saw.
  8. Well your supposed to apply to the hole saw I think then it is supposed to help prolong the life of the bit. Keep it cooler and provide lubrication. I will have to look into it some more. I could see it making sense either way. I am going to try it one my guide rails. I will apply, let dry, then buff it off with a clean rag.
  9. Anyone ever used Schaeffer Oil products? Our Pella window guy does Schaeffer oil demonstrations on the side and did a demo of the products at our work. Seemed like they were pretty good products. All the oil products were 100% synthetic. He compared to various other products. I know a few synthetics were compared to the Schaeffer and maybe some non synthetic as well. I can't remember exactly. The Schaeffer products in every test performed much better than the other guys. The Pella guy claimed he was able to increase the mpg on his vehicle by completely switching to all Schaeffer. Got his Tahoe to 19 mpg I would guess he got around 11 or so before. Said you will need to switch to a filter designed for synthetic oil. I didn't even know there was such a filter. There was also this biodegradable cleaner called Cirtol. It is basically oranges and a few other stuff. It seemed to do a great job at removing grease. It almost is like the CMT cleaner I got. Might have to compare the 2. The demonstration seemed pretty legit. Nothing that seemed to throw any red flags or make the Schaeffer products seem like a bunch of baloney.
  10. bought another Festool guide rail. the 2700 mm so I can cut 8' pieces of plywood. Also got some CMT wax. Gonna try it for lubrication/friction reduction. Its specific purpose is to cool down CMT hole saws but also is supposed to act as lubrication. I might try it on some drill bits but mostly will try on my guide rails.
  11. Used my ro150 last night with gears engaged, speed 6, and 80 grit paper. I was sanding a line I scribed on a project I was building. I have never seen an ROS sander sand so fast. Sanded like a champ. Seems a bit harder to control than other ROS sanders I have used. Seems to want to jump around. Maybe cause it is 150mm/6in vs 5in on the other ones I have used.

    Flexvolt problem

So they should be stored in cold but only charged or operated when warmed up?
  13. @D W I wouldn't be surprised if there were 5 things always in imperial. I can think of an answer for the bonus question Tool batteries are measured in volts and watts which are both metric.

    Flexvolt problem

    I found a ds 130 works nice. fits 8 flex 2/6 batteries.

    Flexvolt problem

@Biggie on the flex batteries they have that feature now. Not sure if the newer 20v batteries like the new 6.0 or new tool connect have this feature.
  16. there are 8mm collets If I'm not mistaken some of the German companies make the metric equivalent of the 1/4 hex chuck bit.

    Flexvolt problem

You should be able to send it in to DeWALT and get a replacement if it is still not working. I agree with the 4 bar indicator. Could even go 5 like Bosch.
  18. This gun coming with the new batteries hitachi sells for cheap? Is Hitachi just taking a loss on every battery or providing a cheaper quality battery?
  19. well Hitachi was the last one. I suppose @dmz2084 , @D W , or @kornomaniac can be up. Far as I know the rest have their systainers provided by Tanos.
  20. l-boxx is made by Sortimo I believe.
