  1. Im wondering about the festool carvex bit I'm not sure
  2. Ego has always been great I hope more innovation is coming and sounds like it is. Something Protoolreviews said got my attention. They said, "But while EGO didn’t have quite as many new products to show off this year at GIE, there are some things they have in the works that are going to get the entire industry’s attention". Sounds like something big is around the corner. Also sounds like Protoolreviews has some insider information they haven't divulged yet. They already got the industries's attention with many of their tools. I wonder what could be next. Riding mower? 30 in self propelled/push mower? new battery tech? https://www.protoolreviews.com/news/ego-products-at-gie-2017/33828/
  3. The brushless makita d handle 18v and makita brushless d handle 12v jigsaw
  4. well looks like Sears is digging themselves into an even deeper hole. Sears and Whirpool have split after 100+ years. Kenmore, Jenn Air, and Maytag are also under Whirlpool. https://www.protoolreviews.com/news/sears-and-whirlpool-end-100-year-relationship/33869/
  5. Rumor was that the flexvolt 10in was originally supposed to be a flexvolt launch item but due to changes in minimum table size regulations it was delayed. I expect it to be hybrid in 2 ways. Hybrid in the fact that it can fit the 120v adapter but hybrid in another sense that it would be in the same class as the Ridgid and Delta hybrid table saws. I'm hoping we see a glimpse of the saw at STAFDA 2017. I have the flexvolt table saw and it does the job at least for a starter table saw. Long as I have charged batteries it does what I have needed it to do.
  6. thanks for the info. I did not know this. I guess 18v subcompact is the future now.
  7. That is a great price for the charger but I already have 4 of them haha.

    Colt router

Well it is official Bosch has announced the "gen 2" colt. Updated design, leds, and no support for old bases.
  9. In many cases yes but it can do much more than edging a lawn.
  10. I counted the Metabo. well I suppose @dwain can be up. He got all I had which were the ones sold in North America but I forgot to include those that don't sell in North America.
  11. wow wasn't expecting to get it right. What brands offer a drill with easily removable chucks? One brand in particular comes with multiple chucks in the kit to easily swap out depending on the task at hand.
  12. Dans gotta post about his favorite brand and he did. He had a video where the DeWALT rep talked about the new 17 in string trimmer, new fast reload head for the trimmer, and 9.0 battery. All is part of the 40v line. I doubt anything else was announced from DeWALT. It is not a big event for DeWALT. Only a few things get announced at this event. I expect STAFDA will be a bigger event for DeWALT.
  13. If I had the choice between an impact or OMT in a 3 tool kit I would choose the OMT. It provides more function the drill and circ saw don't provide than what the impact would provide. Seems like a good idea to me. Strange that it is not the xr circ saw.
  14. well 2 new products coming out confirmed by Dan. 40v 17in trimmer and a 40v 9.0 battery
  15. Industry is going smart or high demand so maybe either bluetooth or 21700 cells. I have a feeling that is not it. Ima guess the batteries have something to do with activating vacs.
  16. Might be a little more practical for and Events section?
  17. I got one about a chemical sprayer not too long ago.
  18. I thought it was just x2 in general? It could be any combination of two 36v or 18v Metabo batteries.
  19. was a trick question. Milwaukee doesnt have a packout wall rack out or announced yet. Would someone like to go?
  20. @SetBuilder maybe +/- 1/64-1/128 over 12 in. I did the thing where you make some marks then flip the square over and see if the marks line up with the square and I got it really close.
  21. @Bill539 Agreed. tough system compatible cooler is a no brainer. I have also seen battery powered coolers and making one that is compatible with all DEWALT 20v and 60v batteries wouldn't be too hard. @Cr8ondt you talking cordless coil roofing nailer? Would there be any concern about the nailer sliding off the roof and breaking? I'd also like a gen 2 multitool with starlock that has legacy support for the gen 1 accessories. I'd also like it to have 3 led's: one on the front, one on the left, and one on the right. It would make working in tight dark areas easier because there will be light all around instead of just forward. I'd also like it to not only have variable speed trigger but also some kind of variable lock whether it be an addition of a speed dial or something else. Some vibration reduction would also be a plus. Maybe there could also be a starlock plus or starlock max in the flexvolt line.
  22. I have no idea what bits to use but I have heard good things about Hilti and Bosch concrete stuff so maybe could try one of them.
  23. I tried bringing us back on topic. I wouldn't mind a tough system gen 2 that is backwards compatible with gen 1
  24. those with the 60v or 40v ope would probably like a rear intake blower
