  1. there was a deal where if you buy a Makita 10ish in circ saw you get a second 7ish in circ saw free. Another deal if you buy a DeWALT XR drill and impact kit you get the brushed grinder and circ saw free. Milwaukee is doing a gen 1 m12 fuel drill or impact with single 2.0 and m12 only charger. Also comes with a free packout half organizer no boxes inside but instead comes with custom insert to fit the drill or impact for only $99. Not the gen 2 stuff but still a decent deal. Prices of m12 stuff seems really reasonable now days. Really contemplating buying into m12 in the future. The t25 m12 stapler has my attention but so does the Bosch flexiclick. I'm hoping for an m12 gen2 flexiclick drill except the bosch flexiclick has better looks in my opinion than the m12 version from Europe. M12 to me seems a bit better overall though.
  2. @Hugh Jass do you use it on the jobsite?
  3. the procore endurance pack 10.5 amp/hr is the one I was thinking of. Also Ego has a 9.0 now
  4. bosch pro core the largest pack
  5. would the 450 be better? last I knew it didn't have that hand tool holder that the 400 has.
  6. My Ego 5.0 battery I ordered came today. The rabbet router bit kit I ordered has shipped and should arrive soon.
  7. nice. I know DeWALT has toyed with the idea of powered tough system boxes (not including radio or portable power supply). I wouldn't be surprised if a cordless tough system compressor comes out
  8. @Framer joe quick lets kidnap the contact and extract information on what else the contact knows
  9. You may be covering the vents which can cause faster heat buildup and will trigger the temperature saftey. I have heard Milwaukee's ventilation is something their tools struggle with.
  10. these tools are not badged under a different company name. I'll give a fictional example. Milwaukee megasawzall sold at hd but at acme tool they sell the same sawzall and they sell it as the Milwaukee ultrasawzall. They are the same tool from the same company name but have different product names depending on the store.
  11. The is incorrect. I'll be more specific. Both tools sold under the same brand and both variations of names are sold in the United States. Another brand's battery is used with these 2 tools.
  12. A company came out with 2 cordless tools recently. A finish guy would find these 2 tools more useful than a rough guy. At Home Depot they are sold under a different name than elsewhere. Name the company and type of tool.
  13. both lines of 12v are going away.
  14. sounds promising for flex at lowes. It's too bad 12v max is going away. I see subcompact 20v max tools replacing 12v max.
  15. I've seen a bosch 12v drill in high school woods class but other than that none other than stores or online.
  16. cordless festool stuff have basic kits which come without batteries and charger but they still come with systainers. If you don't need the systainers would selling them local work better?
  17. all these batteries use a single button
  18. I was wondering if Tanos systainers are coming to North America any time soon? There isn't even a North American website. I know Festool sells some Festool branded ones and there are a few retailers that sell some Tanos ones but I was talking more about the custom color boxes. You can get the standard Tanos grey blue color scheme boxes, all black box, all green, etc. but you can't really get a red box with blue handle and yellow latch or any other color combination you can think of.
  19. oh really? Sounds good for those guys who buy 12v stuff. I haven't heard a peep about new 12v stuff apart from the lasers awhile back.

don't forget the dust mask and dust collection.
  21. Do you guys, who use tools for your job, introduce new tools or new brands to coworkers at work? What do they think? Are they pretty open to try new tools or are they stuck on their usual brands? This week I introduced my boss and another coworker to Festool. I brought the Festool, Tanos, and SawStop catalogs/booklets that my cousin sent me from the Festool event to work yesterday and was surprised that my boss and other coworker never even heard of Festool. They enjoyed looking at them. I think they found some cool products. It is unlikely they will get anything but thought I'd at least let them look at some neat catalogs/booklets. My boss was interested in the Systainers. Ima try and get some prices on the boxes and see if he is interested because they are some nice boxes long as you aren't too rough on them. I'm thinking if he realized how helpful Systainers are in organization he might see the worth in their premium. He is always getting on us for not keeping jobsite clean and organized.
  22. actually you buy a separate baseplate for angles. i was more wondering about variable speed trigger.
