  1. I hear everyone talking about getting fans. What are they used for in a hurricane situation?
  2. how do I know a place is a service center?
  3. precision drive mode? Manual drive mode? flush mode?
  4. no but I haven't really used mine much.
  5. Well I sent an email to DeWALT support telling them the situation. Hopefully they reply back soon.
  6. So today I was working in my garage and one of my flex 6.0 batteries got low and didn't have enough juice for the table saw so I went to plug it in and to my surprise it wouldn't charge. the light may show solid or blink for a few seconds then show solid. I tried multiple chargers and multiple outlets. I even tested other batteries and they were fine. The chargers do not say hot cold delay either. The battery doesn't feel warm to the touch either. Not sure what to do. Anyone else have issues?
  7. I don't know which model of DeWALT tile saw but a guy at work had motor issues with his. The saw wasn't that old. He had only used it for maybe 3 jobs. He also cleans it so well at the end of the day that I'm told it looks brand new after cleaning. He took it into Builders, a local store similar to Home Depot, where he got the saw and was told the saw has been known to have motor issues. Might be something to look out for if you have this saw.
  8. looks similar to a Milwaukee HackZall unlike the new subcompact Makita which looks similar to the compact DeWALT recip saw.
  9. grats on the raise thats quite a bit.
  10. did I hear the new DeWALT mid torque impact was based off a Mac impact?
  11. Guys at work said Irma is supposed to be worse than Katrina. My dad said Irma has been estimated to be the size of the state of Michigan
  12. lots of expensive pickup trucks
  13. Did you use Advantech flooring?
  14. Well these arrived this week. New router, sander, and various accessories for each. Including some brands I did not already own.

    Weird screw

looks like a security screw. I would guess they would be required now days so people don't steal radios from cars.
  16. @skullabyss Have you thought about Ridgid? The line is fairly large as well. It's more of a bargain pro brand so you get the quality and feature benefits of a pro brand but cost savings of a diy brand. The limited lifetime warranty of Ridgid tools is a reason many choose to buy into Ridgid.
  17. hows the vibration?
  18. I actually prefer the 5 cell/compact batteries for a drill or impact. For saws I skip the 10 cell and go 15 cell with my flex batteries. I can think of quite a few tools DeWALT makes that you can't get with Milwaukee and vice versa. Either way you will find both brands have most of the basics. I would focus on specific features unique to each brand or tools available to one brand but not the other.
  19. Far as I know Festool is all German and some USA and Ego is all USA but I could be wrong.
  20. theres a few at Menards. Can't even remember their names. I remember one was a drill that looked like it had Chanellock Blue on it.
  21. could exchange the Chinese green for some German and USA green
