  1. Good times,,good tools..good friends,,good food,,cold beer,,
  2. Gotta love the passion on here.....ya I'm passionate about tools, especially Dewalt tools...I have never missed a contract deadline in thirty plus years doing this, running two companies and my own ....if I say we can build it by that date ,,by god it will be done....no hurricane Bob or typhoon sally, trucker strike or forest fire will stop us...if I have to cut down the damn tree myself to make 1x8 pine ,,I will...... .....I take great pride in a job well done and on time and budget...we have never advertised and I can count on 1 hand the number of days I actually didn't have work in all that time......basically....just keep your word Dewalt , we do !
  3. Yes it will but it will probably be running a lot ,,if your rapid firing ...but it will keep up
  4. Ah,so your an inside guy @The.Handyman....you lucky guy.....I'd pay to be an insider and share are thoughts with Dewalt.....
  5. Never heard of that unless the original sheathing was 3/4 like on older buildings...but I would of used just 3/4 fir ply...not Tand G ......we do vertical sheathing in mass...or for sheer walls
  6. No shit didn't know that...I don't use cpo....thanks nice to know
  7. Plenty of guys above this comment have stated what we need and want...and the relative ease it should be to make them Flexvolt.....example they release the 20v sds plus but no dust extractor.yet .? .no flex vacuum....flex 10" hybrid mitre saw...flex 10" hybrid table saw....we buy flex circ saws ?..Then...you add a rafter hook after we buy them ? Wait years for more lighting and you just copy the Milwaukee rocket and don't even add rubber boots to the base so it won't scratch a finished floor ? ........I'd be happy to wait for a mower..a fan..a carbon fiber sledgehammer....instead give me......a trim router...a 5" orbital sander...a belt sander...more Tstak....happy about the new tough system stuff...........less cowboy hats that say Dewalt.....more Tools......... @Jronman.....i love Flexvolt,,just want more tools...more batteries
  8. One would think so....but gotta cut the noise level down...the flex compressor isn't bad at all but could be quieter like the 200psi Dewalt trim compressor I have
  9. Ya it doesn't swell at all....3/4 fir ply can buckle when wet.....the floor lays perfectly flat especially when using ..TJI engineered joist system and LVL, PSL posts and beams.....it's a great product....so no caulking gun needed when using the cans of foam and applicator nozzle....
  10. Not going to beat a dead horse ....but the point is that we went in one direction " Flexvolt " based on the "rapidly expanding line" ....I love Flexvolt , but more was promised and needed...and not delivered.....we could have gone in another direction had we known this.....ya cords will be around a while, ya we can buy into a dozen other platforms with a dozen other batteries and chargers, not logical but doable.. I'm just saying be upfront with your line of tools and the plans for them, so that people who own and run companies...large or small.... people who spend thousands can plan accordingly..........probably not going to happen, but sometimes when you complain,,," the squeaky wheel gets the grease " ..........I don't go to work for my health....it's for money ...money for me, my employees families, the other businesses I run........it's all very easy if your just a DIY guy and it doesn't matter when or if anything comes out........rant over......MORE POWA !!!!
  11. I think so..and pics compared to the rigid......it works great.....I'd love a Flexvolt 5 gal hybrid with more air flow ,, but for now it solves my problem for no power doing hangers and metal connections
  12. @KnarlyCarl...compressor? I have that and left a review on acme
  13. I know !!!' Crazy !!! I'm all for smaller lighter and still "get er done" ....as long as it handles it no problem, I don't want to beat the tool up, though......
  14. If you buy the new grinder or other 20v bare tools you get a free 6ah 20v batt....Dewalt has promos going on but free batteries are limited to when they sell out...
  15. I'm going to buy and try it ,for setting lags on my decks..instead of the 899... hope it works
  16. No earbuds @Jronman your fired! ....just kidding, love your tenacious attitude.... I have a rule at work...it's called the " rule of 3" 1....it takes 3 seconds to ask a question 2.. it takes 3 minutes to f..k something up 3..it takes 3 hrs to fix your f..k up.................ask a lot of questions
  17. Factory authorized fulfills orders before Home Depot has them in stock , like last time with Flexvolt? That would be nice to get your pre order before anyone else got the tool
  18. Ya we don't use glue ,per say ...the 3/4" deck ply we use is ...Advantec .i think a 50yr warranty...and advantec has a spray foam glue under pressure that works all year round no problem....
  19. Ya don't pre order.....we know how that works out
  20. The new tower light (rocket) is battery only
  21. Cheapest I've seen is 249 for a two pack....but however if you call acme and you buy tools from them ,they have been known to throw a free 9ah into a kit ....I have got some sweet deals from them......also lowes hooked up a guy on here with a two pack of 6ah 20v ......I only shop acme,Home Depot or amazon...I did just buy from lowes but working on a deal
  22. I think that's only with the 20v XR circ saw kit...1 bag, 1 saw, 1 fast charger 118, 1 battery 5ah and 1 free battery 5ah,, 279 acme
  23. That's crazy,, no radio ? Gotta have tunes...can crank the tunes in a new development, but we mostly work in high end existing or gated neighborhoods...strict start and stop times and noise ordinances, with hefty fines...
  24. Release date for the Festool sanders is oct 2 ? @Jronman
