  1. Spider double sided jigsaw blades , wow what's that ? @JakeDewalt..
  2. I love a good debate....definitely love the fanboy twist guys use...you do realize I work to create wealth and to support multiple families...I don't use and buy tools to be blindly loyal to dewalt ( I have multiple brands) .I use the tools the get the job done faster ,more efficiently and the tool that will last. ... ..............always makes me chuckle though......like the Makita xsh01 two battery 7.25 circ saw...the guys at work bought it and brought it in thinking it could beat the flex circ...funny....watch reviews on the Makita impact wrench...it's big it's heavy and can't even beat the older 899.... Milwaukee is not even in the same league with circ saws.....facts not fans always win,,,that's Dewalt ! Wait till the direct drive is released..! Oh boy ! Bosch core batteries make the same claim, less heat...run cooler.( love Bosch) ..but what your saying is it's all bs every battery heats up the same....I am sorry ,I respectfully disagree.. I don't believe that......I could be wrong, I was once back in the 80's ...jk .......Zippidy Zip Bam Boo......ok buying Dewalt socks was over the line,BUT they are great socks,really......
  3. As you know the battery you choose is Dewalts oldest, 3ah and a Makita newer 3ah with battery level indicator...and Milwaukee 2nd gen battery.....I realize you hate Dewalt it's tough on you Makita guys that Dewalt leads the pack in construction related cordless tools and batteries..I get it...it's why Milwaukee took out full ads the day Flexvolt was released. It's why Makita rear handle came out first ,to try and beat the flex circ, but it can't I am sorry for you...and yes the new flex direct drive saw is even better by 33% more then then flex circ...... Game changing is what Dewalt does ...it's not a gimmick it's real world tool performance better then anyone else.......I'm not a engineer or electrical in any way...but both Dewalt and Milwaukee have claims and data proving their batteries run cooler then anyone else..(check it it online) I go buy that claim....if you know more then their designers ,you should call them out on it . ...in my real world I can use a Makita battery for a while and hold it Feel the temp...then a Dewalt battery ....it's not rocket science...one feels hotter after the same use....... ....as I said , I have Makita tools that have lasted decades and still work great. I'm not a guy in a garage doing a 6min test with scrape wood...I build multi million dollar homes everyday , I run dozens of guys , the tools get worked hard everyday...these are my observations everyday.......no disrespect to you at all,I enjoy learning everyday.
  4. I guarantee the battery is just fine as built...I abuse mine and no problems...
  5. First the dcb118 is fan cooled and yellow and you should tell Milwaukee that their battery runs as hot as a Makita because your science is as correct as "global warming."count on it.......then tell Dewalts engineers they are wrong because a cell is a cell and then "AVE" boltre all that heat disappated foil and extra copper used is all BS......cmon sir , you know not all batteries are created equal right ?
  6. Any Milwaukee guys have the pack out boxes ? Many are in stock at Acme. If so, what do you think about them ?
  7. As a "sparks" @Tug...? Is that a welder ? Or electrician?
  8. So another site had it as tool connect, but it's called "mobile lock" gps 19.99 month, you lock up your truck or van with the tools in it or job box or ladders held together with a cable...it has alarms, motion detectors, and gps. If someone tries to steal anything it can be silent or sound an alarm ,,you hide it (lick a tag/tick) not on your tool but a bag of tools or tool box anything ...if the box or bag moves your notified. ...if a guy grabbbed your bag of tools and ran it will alarm or be silent and you track him in real time.......Mobile Lock by Dewalt
  9. It's out there ,I'll try to find again since you think I'm LYing ,,,JK
  10. I don't know what you do @CATERPILLAR but I've seen you do this before, this isn't your first rodeo....no offense but you remind me of my grampa (talent wise) he could spit shine an old tool and have it better then new, ...it's a talent, one I don't have....little jealous
  11. Gentlemen, because a company uses the same cell that another company uses has Absolutely Nothing to do with finished battery. I'm quite sure you know while 1 battery can run extremely hot (brand A) while a different battery can run much cooler with the exact same cells (brand Dewalt) not only battery WH but the motor of the tool and voltage none of which i know much about. ........and...mr @HiltiWpg..I'm quite sure if your drilling cement and metal your using the BEST company for that , HILTI..not Makita .........some of Makita 18v batteries don't work in some other 18v tools, as in not compatible.and many don't even have charge status lights.. If Makita works for you awesome, I'm only stating what I actually see. I have a Makita compressor (MAC5200) from 25 years ago that still works awesome and a rotary hammer (HR3851) that I still use to break frozen ground so I can install Sono tubes for deck footings......so I love those those Makita tools, not bashing...I think the batteries are a different subject...
  12. @Jronman..I'm waiting for the 10" flex mitre, the 12" is too big and heavy for my deck work, but we have two for framing ,it's a nice saw I make the laborers carry it, and set it up..lol.......as far as a track saw,....NO....it's not my thing. We have a Festool track saw at work and it cuts a perfect line, rafters, plywood etc..I've tried and .I just can't get used to it, I've been framing and doing decks 30 plus years, maybe it's an age thing. ........ever see a guy cut a log with a chainsaw carving an eagle or bear and be like Picasso? That's me with a circular saw, its like a part of my arm.....
  13. All depends on your use long term. I see the older compact impact 885 ? .....IMO the dcf 887 impact and the dcd791 are the best out there...also the 899 is a beast (yes Milwaukee finally beat it with (1400) lbs ..but it'll do everything you need..and thanks to @ChrisK ..I got the 20v sds plus and what a pleasure it is to drill holes....I hear a dcn692 next gen is coming so I might wait on that, plus Hitachi has a new battery framer that looks nice........your killing me when I look at that fan...I love getting tools first...good job !
  14. Hilti...hmmm ..IR...hmmm. Those are the best. ,the "Bugatti " of companies...if they made everything I needed in framing I'd be all in.....i saw an Asian YT vid on Makita blowing away alll companies in an impact wrench test and the Dewalt was smoking supposedly...hmmm ya don't think so........ Some companies are the best at what they do, Hilti concrete..IR impact wrenches pneumatic tools, I never claim Dewalt is god...it's in my opinion the best for a framer ,construction company..a wide range of superior tools and batteries. ..
  15. @HiltiWpg...sir I am happy that your batteries do work just fine for you. As you said you don't run them hard or push them...I assume you get 2/3 used and you slap a new one on. ?.... In my world of construction aka Framing..we Push everything and Everyone to the N'th degree....I'm sure your not working in blizzards, pouring rain, ungodly heat....well,welcome to my world...Yes,I make crazy stupid money, but our tools must and do perform without problem just as my worksite does.. ......as I said I run 2 very large framing crews side by side on the same job everyday. One uses all Dewalt. One uses all Makita...from my use and supervisory role,I see the Makita tools breaking down more and the battery getting changed more often then Dewalt..........I am Not disrespecting Makita, they are a fine company,it's merely an observation on a daily basis of long hours and hard work under tough conditions..
  16. @Tug ..rest easy. No Dewalt battery is fragile (pronounced..fra-geel-ee) lol...let me know if you know what movie that came from ?.. back to Dewalt.....I have dozens of flex6 and 9 and 5 and 4 and 3 and 2...no problems ,,,rain snow heat cold... ......shit happens and a bad battery can happen, the good news is ,Dewalt will send you a new one ....so fear not .....now use a another other company's batteries in those same conditions and see what happens...(I know the answer).
  17. @Ned...my second framing crew has all Makita tools and batteries the batteries charge very fast and die very fast
  18. @BK13 ..I'm Indian ,that's some racist shit
  19. It's interesting...of course 3" nails are not code, so let's see 3 1/2 ? But I'm all for giving Dewalt some competition, keeps em on their toes...
  20. Your not using a Makita battery ..All day Everyday...,they don't last
  21. It could be done by saying " here is my opinion of This tool now" and follow up a year later and do the same test....problem is most of these reviewers Dont Actually Use Tools it's just a business on you tube...they get free tools, paid for ads , and YT money.........Dewalts 90'day return policy is great, you can actually use a tool all summer and bring it back if it doesn't hold up, get your money back and buy something else....no hassle ,no wear and tear issue...
  22. Soooooop what happened @Jronman?
