So as much of you know I love fixing tools. Place I buy parts through a tool repair shop , offered me a job a while back and just took him up on the offer . Doesn't pay much but lots of experience and get to work on tools and get deals ?. I took a couple pictures of the place for yas .

Awww...our own little AVE in the making...next thing you know you'll be doing YouTube tear-downs and finding out what makes things chooch...

 

 

Where's the place at, and what kind of perks (free tools) do you get?

Lol idk about that hehe yes somewhat I hopefully will ask for some shit tommotow I am interested in a old 5 inch makita grinder but the other day traded some work for parts and a impact so its good and also hopefully will see what other makita tools I can get I will ask about the stick battery tools lol I'm

That's a dream job. I worked in the construction trades for a summer before I started on the RR. I had a job in the tool room for a month on a several hundred million dollar project. All I did was check tools in/out, clean and service them, charge batteries, and make minor repairs. Got $23 an hour to play with tools. That's pretty good money now, but it was great money 15 years ago for a kid a month out of high school with no kids and one bill. Best job I ever had.

 

Then after a month an older guy returned to work on light duty and my ass got booted to a scaffold crew. Being the youngest guy on the crew I was the gopher.

a pic of one of my last jobs in the shop. 306 foot tall 18ft dia. chimney liner from 444 stainless built in 40 ft sections and placed and welded on site.
