VNeck519
Someone is selling a DW708 sliding saw for $50 - says motor is "shot"...waiting for more details. I have a (non sliding) DW705. Are the motors interchangeable? Motor replacement parts are no longer available. Thanks.
Eric - TIA
Would be nice if they were but I can't answer that one. Let me know because I would be curious
Kirkk
it should be, almost every brand miter saw with same blade diameter uses the same motors slide or not
Biggie
Just a quick look on e-replacement parts it looks like they use the same field but different armature. What's actually different about them who knows and they may still work but they have different part numbers and on the 705 there's a note that the armature has 10 teeth. The 708 could be 10 teeth too but it just doesn't have any extra notes with it, so I'm guessing the fact that it has that note might mean its something odd but maybe not.
