That is a faux security pad that is hooked to nothing and does nothing but light up and beep when you push the buttons. But when someone asks I try and open a drawer and make it look like it won't open then hit a couple of keys and like magic it opens! Works every time. I made most everything you see that is made from wood with the exception of the table top of the work bench with with the silver peg board in front of it. I love that mallet.
