DR99
This thing is just like a Lowes level gimmicky holiday hand tool. The dual blade circular saw might be a great tool, but this thing just looks cheap and a waste of money. I think a good recip and blades will be 100x times better than this crazy thing.http://www.protoolreviews.com/tools/power/corded/saws/dualsaw-rs1200-preview/11564/
dwain
what is the point of two blades on a recip? VERY gimmicky...
DR99
what is the point of two blades on a recip? VERY gimmicky...That's what I was trying to figure out. If it benefits were worth it some other major company would be building a dual blade recip saw.
NicholasShetley
To me it makes sense how it could be more balanced. I have seen it on YouTube and it doesn't seem that bad and is smoother than a single blade one. Here is a good review of it.
dwain
but it's not like the have a big kick like angle grinder or high torque drill....
NicholasShetley
It won't shake the workpiece as bad though.
Punda1991
I've heard the circ dual saw is amazing for cutting metal
Conductor562
I can see where there may be some advantage, but I've never valued a Sawzall for it's precision.
Nordraw
Costco carries something like that it did look like a gimmick. But I would have liked to add it to my collection to collect dust if nothing else.

jenskolson
I would like this for cutting hydronic PVC or Copper in place. The shaking of the pipe does a ton of damage to a hydronic systems.

platypus20
They had a TV ads for the saw on the Discovery channel, it was obvious they made the regular sawzall look bad and did everything to make theirs look great (it TV after all), to me it a gimmick. As Conductor562 said, a sawzall is not a precision tool I have one of the Craaftsman Dual-Cut circular saws, and find it about worthless, the saw kerf is about 3/8", its hard to see where you are cutting, throws hot chips everywhere and jams very easily, one of the worst tools I've ever bought. They really appeared to be bending over backwards to give the 2 bladed mutant an advantage.

ebowejr
I have a feeling when your company name is "dual tool" you are kind of stuck working with two blades even if it is just a bad idea, they almost have to do it now

ebowejr
If only they named themselves "tool"......the possibilities would be endless
tascher1
If 2 blades are good Ill bet 7 are better! Sounds like a Gillette Razor commercial. I would be concerned of the blades catching each other.
RickyMcGrath
Gimmick.... They used to have a circ saw that was great. Their dual disc polisher/sander was recalled by the thousands. I bought one and it caught on fire while using it.
