nola tools
Hey guys, word was that the M18 Stand Light was to be released in Sept. Well, here we are, and it's nowhere insight. Just a long shot here, but does anyone here have info on the "specific" release date? I'VE JUST GOT TO HAVE THAT THING! Thanks...

electromage
Just wondering, for something of that size, what's the benefit to making it M18 compatible? Seems like there are already rechargeable shop/scene lights on the market.
Milwaukeenut
I have found over time that when Milwaukee says a date always expect 2-3 past that. They did that with the tool box and the gen 2 they say first week of August. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
stainlessstroker95
It won't be long now. They released the video on it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai1xakVcbI8

JimboS1ice
Ouch, that's a hefty tag for a light.JimboSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
kruton
I didn't expect them to give them away but that's a little high. I'm sure they are nice though.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
JimboS1ice
Is that with or without a battery, if it came with a 5.0 that could be a different story but if it's baretool like the other m18 light out now...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I guess I assumed it was a bare tool. Now I'm going to have to check it out and see.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
JerryNY
It's not cheap but when you factor in those so called cheap halogen costs that A) break when you look at them funny while using them B.) burn you and C) break while trying to fold them up the money on a light that looks so easy and portable while being burn free and ability to even raise up to 7ft. Is probably well spent. The only downside, like all of Milwaukee's led lights, is they are almost too nice in that unlike cheap halogens where you could care less if someone stole them or they broke you'll be upset with these nice ones... stainlessstroker95
For 250 it would be nice if it had a battery. But I still like it. I just checked out a couple sites that are advertising it and most are saying first of November as a shipping date.
DR99
It would be nice if it was around 200 dollars 150 would be awesome
jdlx277
I have the 2361-20 I gave $100.00 for it without any battery. But already had 3 4.0 packs already. It was hard to turn loose of the $100.00 for it.But I use it all the time. Not sure how I managed without it.So maybe it is worth it.Mine has great run time. JimboS1ice
HD on the website has the new flood light listed at 150 for bare tool. They might have the battery deal at release though like they do now with their current flood light you get a free 5.0 pack.JimboSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
khariV
Is the new stand light dual powered? I see from the specs that the flood light can plug into an extension cord, but I don't see anything on that front as far as the stand light goes. I'll be bummed if the stand model is battery only.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

JerryNY
The new flood that has the tilting head has a receptacle for an extension cord. I don't think the stand tower one does. I think the reasoning is the new flood has a massive heat sink in the head buried under all the plastic louvres so it can take being run 24/7 while powered off the mains whereas battery powered lights are never likely to be powered on so long at a pop... jbw55
I just checked the HD site and its listed for $249 no battery......little steep IMO, never the less its cool, pricey and I like it so I will buy when available http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-TRUEVIEW-LED-Stand-Light-2130-20/206463146?keyword=milwaukee+m18+stand+light
Jacob Scutzlas
$250 is way too high for a light imo
KnarlyCarl
So the stand light has been out awhile, and I just happened to suggest an improvement to it and Acme tool says it will be available with a hybrid power setup later this Fall! -

So what it'll be 300 now for something it should have originally shipped with?

Yeah something like that, just enough less than the Makita to make it look like a bargain! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

As long as they don't make it require a stupid power adapter like the fan. I don't see them increasing the price, more likely decreasing the price on the non-AC model. Now let's look at the power requirements. 5 Amp Hour battyer / 4 Hour runtime on high = 1.25 Amp peak draw Amazon can provide an 18V, 2A power supply for $10. I don't know about you guys but I'd wait to buy the old model at a discount and tape one of these to the side with the wires soldered in.
