Gen. 2 Fuel Kit Weights?

Nice score! What luck? I'm eyeing those too. Weird question: Apart from the extra batteries, would you have preferred the combo kit over the split kit? Or no?

Not really. The only difference would have been a single hard case. So I'd much rather have two chargers and 4 batteries all day. I'll probably put them in a DS150 Tough System box with some kaizen foam anyway.

Nice prize. I'd prefer it just the way they sent it - two tools in two cases. I often only take my impact and those accessories with my into a job and leave the drill and its accessories in the truck till I need it. I hated the Makita combo set for how big the damn case was and how heavy it was with both impact and drill accessories together.

It's not as bad if you drill and impact kit is in a tool bag, but the 2 tool Milwaukee blow molded case is pretty big and bulky. I would prefer if Milwaukee would release their tools in a Systainer type system. The plastic cases have limited accessory storage and just a pain to store anywhere.

I have a few bagged tools but they're ones I use rarely, like my multimaster, cordless rotary hammer or voltage gloves. Stuff I use regularly, I want in a hard case so I'm not digging in a bag for the accessories.

I haven't looked at any recent Milwaukee cases, but if they're like the old ones, I would definitely prefer Systainer/Sortimo or the new style of Fein case.

I have the 2 tool kit and I don't think the case is all that big and bulky. If you use both tools together a lot it makes sense to have one case. If you frequently only use 1 of them, or in this case where you get more batteries free, it makes sense to have individual cases.
