Is the 2mm shorter a typo, it looks a lot smaller in that pic.

Hugh Jass
Sweet!!! I hope Dewalt darts updating more of there 20v line to!! Based on what leaks have hit the forums, I don't think anyone saw this coming at all. Might be getting more of a push for upgrades from Dewalt than expected. Turner85
Midogrumpy brought up this before that he seen it somewhere and a few dewalt guys said there was no new impact coming out. Maybe it's a long way from release

framer
So is this the same as the dcf895 but without the pushbutton bit release?

ChrisK
Yeah that'd be like calling a VW Bug Turbo and a Dodge Challenger SRT the same thing. Sure both are cars, they have 4 wheels and they both come in yellow but you know the girls are driving the bug to the store and the guys are driving the Challenger at the track
Mr. Yellow
I can see people think this is the new replacement for the DCF895 because of the 3-speed option that both have.Sweet little impact driver!

JimboS1ice
The chuck is different than the 895, that model kind of fell flat and was not widely loved. Never used that one but heard it was difficult to use at times. This model is dewalts answer to the gen 2 Milwaukee. The torque on this one would actually be 25 more than Milwaukees, which will we actually notice? Probably not, but its nice to see Dewalt improve their impacts, especially with the 899 they introduced recently.
Mr. Yellow
No no no. It's just wishful thinking.Sent from the yellow planet using Tapatalk
PaulE
I have been using an 895 for 3+ years. I've tried most other impacts and feel it is superior in many ways to others. I have a fuel impact and also the normal dewalt brushless. I always go to the 895.
Mr. Yellow
Me too. I've been using the DCF895 for a few years now and come to love it. Though in all honesty, it's been sitting in speed 3 ever since. Do like the chuck on this. Sent from the yellow planet using TapatalkLike I've said I never used it but heard it was difficult to adjust to, I have a 2 speed m12 impact and I don't think I've ever dropped to the lower speed setting but it's nice to have, I've envied the Milwaukee users with the multi speed fuels.JimboSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
