lmorgan
Finally some battery powered OPE that look just like their gas powered brothers and match them in the power department.http://www.bosch-professional.com/static/specials/cordless-garden-tools/gb/en/I would love to get my hands on some of these.
99_XC600
That looks awesome. In typical Bosch form, they completely over engineered the system. The mower looks like a beast. with the dual batteries it looks like it has a Blower from a supercharger on it, Now all they just need to bring it to the States
JimboS1ice
That is a bad ass looking mower, typical German engineering, like taking a station wagon and putting a twin turbo on a 6.3 liter v8. What size batteries are those?JimboSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
kruton
All of these new cordless mowers really have me contemplating getting rid of my gas mower. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
kornomaniac
Its a beast of a machine and so is its price. Typically Bosch. In belgium the mower, the 2 required batteries and charger set you back over 2000 euro's.

kornomaniac
Yeah that was my thought also. Here in belgium Bosch has a habit of over pricing themselves tho. They always do that
Fazzman
I think it looks pretty sweet, since this last season I got a new Honda mower its highly unlikely I will replace it like ever. All that dough could be put to good use in my garage for more tool storage or something along those lines.

You are so right in that it looks like a gas engine on there. My only problem with cordless powered lawn mowers is that they cost as much as their gas counterparts. You usually find these things going for around 400 dollars. I always thought the reason why mowers were so expensive is because engines are expensive. They should really get the price down on these things cause again, there is no engine so yeah. I am happy with what Bocsh is doing with their OPE line, SWEET They have some advantages over gas though, such as being lighter, easier to start, more compact, quieter and less maintenance. WigWagWorkshop
I would love to see an actual cost comparison to manufacture a gas vs battery vs plugin electric mower. -Steven

Their catalog on their website gives you a good comparison between gas costs and energy costs. Li-ion wins by a looooong shot

redbirdone
Any insight on if Bosch plans on bringing this over the Atlantic to the US? Price is pretty steep, but I do like the quality and performance from some videos I've watched.
Scott B
From what I've seen of the bosch OPE lineup, its the best engineered OPE you can't buy in the US. Perhaps if the US Pro OPE cordless market demand catches up to the Europeans, we will start seeing these available in the US. I especially like the way Bosch has introduced the option to change the head from string cutter to brush cutter blade. Hope Ego offers this soon. I also like the handlebar design with harness capability, but I haven't seen a single one available in the US from any cordless manufacturer (perhaps Husqvarna has one that I haven't seen). Even Ego has a handlebar design for their popular 15" 56v trimmer. But, guess what, you can't get it in the US. http://egopowerplus.ie/products/bike-handle-trimmer-38cm
