Looking to get a new drill set.

I have a very old Dewalt nicad battery drill. I'm looking to get the DCF887 when it comes out. Should I get it in the kit, or just buy the impact and keep my old drill?

I would just get a combo kit you can get a good deal on them. You could maybe Craigslist your old drill to make up some of the difference. Having you drill on another battery platform would be annoying plus nicad is just annoying to deal with

Get the kit, it's always cheaper to buy the kit versus going back and buying everything individually.

Same here, get the kit for the fifty or so extra bucks. You will end up paying more when you come to the realization you want both tools

Always good to get the combo, drills are good for some things and impacts are good for others so get more of the same batteries to keep your options open for expanding
