JimboS1ice
I find it to have similar power to the fuel when they both have 5.0. Its not a big difference but I think the fuel with a 9.0 seems a little more powerful than the dewalt with a 6.0. Still neither one compares to the flexvolts power. Just FYI because I know you've had some experience with the fuel and prefer the metabo. Also and I can't figure out why because the grip seems like it would be smaller on the dewalt but it feels harder to get a firm grip on.Has to be the paddle, it’s rather uncomfortable after prolonged use Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Which doesn't really make sense you would think smaller would be better.
Stercorarius
Well I'll pass on buying that then. Hate the grip on the Fuel.

Because most of the coupons and points I had were all for HD, I couldn't buy it from anywhere else. But $260 out of pocket after all points and coupons is pretty awesome, even with the stupid sales tax.

jtkendall
I was trying to plan out future purchases and saw that the 6 strut Centipede supports were $70 or so everywhere online. I was looking for the 2x2 4 strut versions but it looks like they aren't being produced anymore or just aren't available at the moment. Decided to check Lowe's and see if they had them, no luck but found the 6 strut versions for $34.99 marked down from $50. So I impulse bought all 6 of the ones they had in stock for store pickup tomorrow. Got six for the price I would have paid for three of them elsewhere online, so can't complain. I noticed once I ordered them and they changed to out of stock locally they also went back up to $50.
jtkendall
It’s a good thing I went to Lowe’s this morning and didn’t wait for the order ready email. They couldn’t find them, they were literally in the same spot they have been in for at least 6 months down the back of “Tool World”. Walked the associate to them in less than a minute. They were in the exact bay listed on the paperwork yet two employees were not able to find them. I also found this oddity, a Dewalt cooler with an impact, drill, charger, and 2 x 1.5Ah batteries for $329. So everyone throw away your boxes, coolers are the new tool storage solution! They also had the Power Station bare tool for $100 more than anywhere else. Had it been the kit for $399 it would have been in my cart but not paying more for a bare tool.

Saw those cooler kits at my Lowes yesterday too.... not going to get one but interested in seeing what they go for around BF.

justinkendall
I picked up a Southwire Tools SD12N1 multi bit screwdriver at Lowes. It's one of the very few Southwire Tools items that Acme Tools doesn't carry, so I couldn't get it with the order I'm waiting for from them, but I happened to be in Lowes anyway today and grabbed it.
jtkendall
Acme order came in. First impressions of some things, even though I’m sure many others have already had a chance to use them. The Flexvolt grinder feels heavy for its size, but that’s a good thing. Adding a battery provided a counter weight that evens it out nicely. This thing is going to be fun to use. Still want to pick up a corded Metabo for longer jobs so i don’t have to swap batteries often and will probably pick up another Flexvolt one so I can put it in a different head orientation. Also Dewalt finally shipped something in a bag that is appropriately sized for it. Unlike my circular saw and 611 Router this bag shuts with some extra room. The Milwaukee Fuel Blower cleared my sidewalk in 2 seconds and should make living in the woods during fall easier. Going to try the Karcher K1700 out this weekend and will report back. Yes I need to redo the sidewalk and yes that hose in the background is just lying around dirty as hell. Hose is getting cleaned and packed up for the season this weekend. It’s a Flexzilla hose and is actually really nice, never kinks.
justinkendall
My order from Acme Tools came today. Southwire Tools BAGOT15 Open Top Bag and 14090T TechnicianPRO Bluetooth CAT IV Multimeter. (Also my free 5.0ah that didn't have any other place to sit) DeWalt TSTAK III, IV, and Deep which I am already in love with and am starting to figure out how many more I need. Milwaukee 2130-20 M18 Rocket Stand Light (came with the free 5.0ah battery).

Race2win01
Picked up the M18 grease gun, it works great! Comes in really handy when servicing boats & trailers...especially greasing new bearings. Beats the hell out of a manual grease gun! 😎

Glad he sold it to me, I've already disassembled it, drilled out the broken screws in the jaw and some rusted parts are soaking in Evapo-Rust. Right now I'm looking for a replacement hardened steel jaw or will make some aluminum jaws for it. Also going to strip it and repaint it. I'm thinking teal (like a 50s Chevy or a bright red), what do you guys think? CC: @rrich1
